Uhm…seem different to what the ITKers are suggesting… oh who to belive in this whirll of excitement/excrement?
No, it is EXACTLY what one SWF itker (Tom) said earlier and was reported on here 4 hrs ago by Sadoldgit…and to which you respinded to.
Like someone far smarter than me once said in Withnail, a Ride song and then on Papsweb … even a stopped clock etc… Still maintain this is speculation and when you think about there are only 3 possibilties here… he wants to go, he wants to stay, or he may stay/go… so I in three chance of getting it right… and young Jeremy posted this at 4:31 this afternoon, which suggests he may be the instigator of this latest exclusive insdier knowledge?
Wasn’t that about it being a done deal to join the Scouse cunts?
The ‘positive PR’ I was anticipating from JS was in the event that he goes, the club will make out “they had no choice, best for all parties, VVD is evil incarnate, he wasn’t that good anyway, we will reinvest the money in the squad”. The usual old rhetoric basically.
In truth Wilson uses the word ‘hope’ which takes us absolutely no further forward!
Anyway, I followed a car home from work today with VVD as the last three letters of the reg. I’m taking it as a sign from god. I therefore anticipate he will stay.
Or go.
All jokes aside, our leak was now a few days ago - referenced by Eric’s text comment.
So don’t think I’ll get slapped but the news we got was very similar to what Tom28 has stated here (so we didn’t leak it this time)
Ignoring Monk for a moment that was 3 different VVD is coming round to the idea of staying tips that we have seen Jeremy Wilson (who our leak could well be close to timing wise) & Tom28.
Interesting days ahead
Make your own insider news release:
From the following phrases construct a mildly vague sounding ITK exclusive…
Sources close to…it is now understood…in a sensational volte-face* last night…are confident…are hopeful…are desperately seeking…threatened with…anal not totally ruled out**…can confirm…from official sources…a local taxi driver…a man on the gate at Staplewood…etc etc.
*for Guardian and Independent only
**tabloids only.
Ah ha…
So Monk admits he isn’t itk any more Tom confirms VVD is in talks to stay and the whole escalation makes some entertaining reading. On this one well played fiverweb

Update: Monk is misinformed.

Amazing how one anonymous bloke can work up hundreds of moronic Liverpool fans, get it mentioned in their local and a national rag. Some of the tweets I’ve read have been superb. Shame on you MLG for trying to put the fires out.
All because some Tom/**** & Harry told me its done… as mentioned numerous times - I’m not ITK anymore, that remote ship sailed a long time ago and well before some people realise. I was very lucky the day Osvaldo signed - purely because I was working at the time.
Been thinkin’, the Swansea game could be a record breaker unlikely to be beaten … ever.
It could potentially be the first time there’s been an opening day EPL match where both captains are on strike !!
Don’t you just love the modern game
After a couple of quiet days.
Make of this what you will…
Southampton are weighing up a £12million move for Lazio centre back Wesley Hoedt as they prepare for Virgil van Dijk’s departure.
The £60million-rated Van Dijk is due to discuss his future with the club this week after telling them he wanted to move on. He spent last week training on his own at Southampton’s Staplewood training base while the team were on a pre-season trip to France.
Liverpool were warned over their approaches to Van Dijk earlier in the summer but that has not prevented the 26-year-old from voicing a desire to move to Anfield.
Chelsea have also been monitoring developments but Van Dijk wants to link up with Jurgen Klopp.
Mauricio Pellegrino has been using Jack Stephens and Maya Yoshida as his centre-back pairing and they have Poland Under 21 international Jan Bednarek to call upon also.
However, talks have taken place over Hoedt, another Holland international, who has been at Lazio since 2015.
The 23-year-old was a target for Southampton last summer while Middlesbrough, Leicester and Everton have also considered the former Alkmaar centre back. Hoedt is strong in the air, comfortable on the ball and a good reader of the game.
Whenever we are reported to be looking at centre backs the media jump on it as a replacement for VVD and not a partner. On that view the article offers nothing new…the usual Daily Fail’s recycled clickbait.
That’s kind of how I see it too tbh. I’d be surprised if the club dumped Steve Jackson back to fighting Yo Shida for place on bench.
I really want to agree but that doesn’t explain the Bednarek signing. Unless he is going to be with the U23s for a bit? Doubt it.
If we forget about Gardos and assume for a second that VVD is staying that makes 4 centre backs already. Can’t see us adding another without somebody leaving.
Yes we didn’t ‘replace’ Fonte but Stephens stepped up and got himself in to the reckoning.
Whilst I am trying not to read too much in to it after only the first day back from France, I didn’t see VVD in any pictures from training. Seeing as the noise was we were hoping to reintegrate him this week. Today is a new day though!
As always, time will tell.
It gets to the point where if he really wants to go, Liverpool need to pay up or shut up.
We don’t want to see another half-arsed, error-riddled few months as we did with Fonte.
Well, isn’t that a surprising co-incidence. We’re alleged to be talking to a Dutch Defender. Obviously wasn’t any leak by any ITK because he doesn’t play for a team beginning with A.
Meanwhile - I think Bedarnek was this years’ Gardos - one for the future (as I still think the Dutch player rumour was)
We forget that last year 2 things happened to mess up that system - Gardos was injured and like JRod we had no idea IF he would be back and be able to step up & then we lost Fonte.
I’d imagine Bedarnek is planned to be the one that is ready in 2018/19 and Alfie Jones for example is ready 2019/2020.
Opens popcorn sits back and waits for team news tomorrow night…
Someone needs to take a good look at the black box if the original plan for this season was Forren and Gardos…
I don’t think the club can sell VVD now. If they were going to do it then they should have done it a month ago. Not 12 days or less before the first game. That is why they need to stick to their guns.
I get the impression that they are still trying the ‘soft’ approach with him, but that will only breed hope that he can still go. It gives him hope that something crazy might happen on deadline day.
If their intention is to keep him and they are adament then they need to sit him down, and in no uncertain terms tell him “You are not being sold in this window. Get that through ya thick head ya twat”. Then come out and say it publicly and nail your colours to the mast. It is all dragging on too long now and will undoubtedly be an unwelcome distraction.
Only then can the ‘healing’ process begin and he can start on his journey to acceptance. It is a waste of fucking time letting him come to that realisation on August 31st at 10:59pm. Might as well let him sulk now rather than after the season has started and he is missing more games.
It also lets Liverpool get on with finding an alternative centre back option and HOPEFULLY make it less likely that they come back for him next summer. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t believe the last bit. Liverpool are absolutely obsessed with the idea of signing him, from the very top, right down to the fans. I don’t care if he goes, I just care that he doesn’t go to Liverpool.
Are you reading this Les?
Now now, RB. In defence of Gardos, he DID show promise before his injury. Not “blimey he is world class” promise but “OK he looks promising” promise.
In my defence of that opinion I would submit his substitute performace at Old Trafford when we won 0-1 - he was solid, calm, pulled off a wonderful recovery tackle in our box.
Fast forward to Brentford and he looked like Ali Deah, but again, at times last season so did JRod
That fucking Jack Ass Klippity Klopp is spouting off that Coutinho is NOT FOR SALE and NOT FOR SALE means NOT FOR SALE in latest interview.
Funny that, how come you take it to mean the square root of fuck all when SFC say that VvD IS NOT FOR SALE. ?
