The problem is that whilst many fans are keen for news and a greater understanding of what is happening strategy wise etc… knowing will make fuck all difference and any genuine leaks are just to Pacify fans.

Yes it’s entertaining and yes it adds to discussion, but I feel no guilt for pulling the attention seeking fuckers up on actually offering fuck all more than any of us can work out if we bother to go through all the uk and euro press and filter the gossip…

It’s funny that most of our transfer purchases are done in secret and you never hear from ITK claimers, but VVD was our most public transfer, and it went on for ages.
In fact it went on long enough for Liverpool to sign him, had they recognised his quality - and that mistake is going to cost them a fortune.

Ok Chutters, I get that you dont have any time for ITKers. But can you also get that people dont like being called a liar online by people they dont know? I have no doubt that some out there are full of shit. I also believe that some people have passed on info given them in good faith. Take Jack for example. From day 1 he said that he was passing on information but he had no idea of its authenticity and that we should take it or leave it as we saw fit. If you dont agree with what someone says they are passing on from another party, you are at liberty to say you dont agree with it. You could also just ignore it. But it is a bit unfair to dig someone out just for passing on what they said they have been told. Most of use have spent time on Steveweb. We have read posts from wannabe ITKers and also from genuine ITKers. More and more people passing what might be, or might not be genuine info are being ripped to shreds over there. Agree or disagree with the post, but why give these people such a hard time? There are some habitual trollers but even they dont get some of the dog’s abuse that some ITKers get.
Sorry Soggy, but I can’t agree… nearly all ITKs start with the same cliched line ’ that they can’t vouch for authenticity, told in good faith by a contact etc … it’s the same old story and then with JS it got even funnier. Even his ‘source’ told him only what was already out there in public domain, some in mainstream media and some in odd obscure football sites… but it was cleverly told in a way to make it sound more exclusive … that was not by accident but by design and that is what I take exception to.
I ain’t got a problem with anyone who spouts their shit on here no matter where it comes from, as you say it’s part of the entertainment, but I don’t like deception and I can’t find any other explanation for someone posting stuff Ina clever way that is already in public domain if you look hard enough… just looks like someone trying to establish credibility for some wind up exclusives down the line… sorry can’t get guilty about the schitt given to Jack if he tries to pull that one… and it had all the hallmarks of it… I am full of shit and as they say, you cant BS a bullshitter

Thing is, we will always be a club that does this. Top clubs ain’t interested in 10mil players and signing someone from the ‘easy’ Scottish league is a risk… we can do it and afford it but does mean if they are good, we will lose them quickly. It makes us few quid … it’s part of the business. Model iMHO, i don’t like the selling bit, but can understand why the club use transfers as a revenue source if there are mugs out there willing to pay us 5 times what we paid just 12/18 months previously… the club is a business and players are its biggest assets and a commodity, but a commodity with a limited and depreciating value due to aging and contract… so in out quickly is the way to make money… Ruperts dreams coming true… had he taken over adter a couple of relegations and got us back to the PL he may have had And easier time… I mean how many managers have we had since ML took us over? One of the sticks we used to beat old Rupes with… selling plays at high value, buying unproven youth and foreign players… sounds a bit familiar does it not?

Yeah, but probably not via taxi drivers, airport staff or random blokes in pubs - which seem to be the key harvesting areas for the regular forum ITKs.
Fk me I remember a time when I didn’t know who Guy Ashkan was let alone Rupert bit fkn Lowe. Shit was easy then apart from the football.
