:tories: Tories in trouble?

Yeah, very much this, my Uncle passed recently, he’d been living in the family home in South Ruislip so when he died it was left to his brothers and sisters (or their descendants).

The house sold for a cool £½m so was immediately subject to inheritance tax.

So, no, it’s not a tax on the rich!

So, nobody’s in favour of it and everyone’s against it. And they floated the idea, let it stew in the public eye for a few days, then changed their minds having done some notable damage to themselves in the process.

I stand by my point that they’re looking to lose this one.

No expert but I guess that number was 65 million quid?

I really hope it’s one of those sanctimonious former permanent secretaries whose arse is beginning to twitch

The revelation yesterday by Penny Mordaunt that Whattsapp messages from Johnson during Covid mysteriously disappeared from her phone should be cause for major concern, but people are so inured to the corruption now they just shrug and carry on. Both Johnson and Sunak, blatantly lying giving their testimony at the Covid enquiry, Sunak clearly is suffering from some kind of clinical amnesia, he ‘can’t remember anything’. Both blatantly lied about not being able to access their whattsapp messages, we know they are lying, they know that we know they are lying, but they don’t care. We are being governed by an organized crime syndicate, people need to wake up.

In the unlikely scenario that I were ever selected to serve in such high office, how long do you think I’d last (to the nearest minute) and which joke would I have to resign over?:grin:

Well it would depend on how long the first joke took to tell

You wouldn’t have to do anything

With your previous even the most bone idle hack would be able to sniff out something even before your arse hit the seat

I absolutely stinks but labour are just as culpable.

If they insist on resignation honours then surely it should be linked to tenure ie 2 per full year served and even then there should be criteria so that a 29 yr dog Walker doesn’t get elevated to the Lords because she either shagged the PM or knew about others that did
