:tories: Tories in trouble?

I wonder if the real driver behind this is to try to fill the low paid low skilled jobs that that no one really wants to do?

Sorry bud. But worth repeating

Phil, that was always my take on his self-righteous hysterical outbursts.

Until someone on here pointed out that it’s a satirical comedy caricature, which up to then I genuinely hadn’t realised. :joy::joy::joy:

Hence the

Of course it is… the jobs that were previously filled by our continental friends, young people here for a few years to save for there futures, college etc. Our economy benefited, because these folks were prepared to work fucking hard for barely above minimum wage and although I think that is too low, it was still more than they could get at home and allowed them to build for their futures, whilst enabling our businesses to employ more folks and improve their service levels…

the beeb and Gary are happy bedfellows again

The beeb will review its guidelines and gary promises to abide by the current guideline until the new ones are adopted

Which kind of suggests the guidelines did apply to Lineker and he broke them :lou_eyes_to_sky:

Probably the best face saving outcome for the beeb and salary saving outcome for Lineker

Richard Sharp has been keeping his head down during the past few days, but he will surely be quietly satisfied that he’s managed to trash the BBCs reputation, given his desire to privatise it. Which of course is why the Lying Oaf installed him there.

The BBCs days are numbered anyway - the way that the younger generation consume media has changed forever.

Maybe its better that the BBC change now and reinvent themselves before they miss the boat entirely

I’m sorry but that’s just nonsense, with more than a whiff of sour grapes.
A couple of years ago complaints were made to the BBC about the obvious pro-Tory bias of a presenter’s, (Andrew Neil) tweets. At the time the BBC clearly replied that his twitter was separate from his work for the BBC and therefore not covered by impartiality rules. The BBC have clearly fucked up here, a completely unforced error by them, drawing attention to the Tory government’s interference in their decision making. Caught out red handed.

I disagree - but then we often find ourselves at difference of opinion

BBC impartiality is almost an impossible box to square.

The Left think the BBC is institutionally biased towards the right and the Right think the BBC are institutionally biased towards the left - that suggests that they get broadly right - but not all the time

Genius

Hmm… smacks of PR leak.

Feel that he’s going to be exonerated by his party.

The rest of the country know he is as guilty as fuck.

One rule for the rich - same old, same old :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Isn’t this committee cross party?

I’m not sure most the Tory MPs want him back - maybe those who were promised lordships that haven’t materialised and a good chunk of the membership
