:tories: Tories in trouble?

He is among a growing cohort of MPs, some of them from the 2019 election, that do not have the stomach for a life in opposition.

They know they’re fucked.

I would like to think her passport would have been confiscated as she is clearly a flight risk. But of course there is no chance of that happening, the same ministers who enabled this theft of public money on a grand scale will make sure of that. Gove, Hancock are the two obvious ones, but Sunak as well, he was after all the Chancellor at the time who would have signed off the cheques for hundreds of millions, despite him now expecting everybody to believe that he was as shocked as anybody and the first he knew about it all was when he read about it in the press. He’s a lying bastard, and there can be no doubt that Lady Mone is just the tip of a very large iceberg. Where is Dido Harding, who appears to have vanished off the face of the earth, along with at least £37 billion of public money? Or Hancock’s local pub landlord who received an estimated £40 million, the list goes on and on, as does the list of government ministers who are implicated. In a just society these corrupt criminals would be facing serious jail time, but I won’t be holding my breath. Roberto Saviano, who spent more than a decade exposing the criminal dealings of the Italian Mafia and now lives under permanent police protection, and is considered the leading expert on the subject wasn’t wrong when he told an audience at Hay-on-Wye that Britain is the most corrupt country in the world. These latest revelations would appear to confirm this. But still there are people out there who will try and excuse it, deflect, and probably go out and vote for them again. Almost beyond belief.

Always amazes me that if Sunak’s family hadn’t sent him private, he’d have probably gone to my school.

Yep and he’d have probably ended up here.

It not a Johnson style whopper - it’s more a debate on assumptions made

The beebs comment about oct inflation figures being used for next April pay rewiew is just plain daft - it’s what’s being pushed for now by the unions so the govt priced it in

The unions are pushing hard now because chances are by next April inflation will have started to back up and it will weaken their negotiating stand point whilst strengthening the govt

I should fucking hope so :flushed::flushed:

And another Sunak whopper exposed and condemned by the UK official statistics watchdog for claiming that £800 billion in “new” free trade deals had been secured since Brexit. Condemned as “misleading”, which is just a polite way of saying “lie”. But hey, these are Tory vermin , it’s in their DNA.

I’m not sure if he genuinely meant to say that.

You really don’t want to be one of those agro drunks with the army driving the ambulances - I reckon their tolerance of that kind of bullshit isn’t particularly high

Mind you they’re likely to be on notice that they’ll get taken to court if too heavy handed. Cuts both ways…excuse the pun.

Not if they do it right and just disappear them… :male_detective:

Ah, that doesn’t apply any more, not since the truth came out about Saville.
