:tories: Tories in trouble?

The alleged victim is a male 20 years the MPs junior

Apparently the relationship / friendship was well known in parliamentary circles, right up until they fell out in 2019

Wasn’t that twat Fabricant in the news quite recently for some kind of peccadillo?

Given that he was taking the piss on twitter yesterday I suspect its not him

How someone that looks like him can take the piss out of anyone is beyond me.

The fat fuck is going to get away with it - no more fines for him or Carrie

Apparently there are a few alleged victims, one of them under the age of eighteen. Also being charged with misconduct in public office amongst other things, which carries an automatic prison sentence. It’s no secret who the miscreant is, this has been ongoing for the best part of a year, during which time he has been keeping a very low profile, whereas beforehand you couldn’t keep him off Question Time, Peston, Newsnight etc.

Completely unrelated of course, :open_mouth:, but this is an amusing little clip of Will Self having a disagreement with the Tory MP for Rayleigh and Wickford, a quality death stare from Mr Self.

Ahem.

I thought at the time that singling out one party for criticism was a bit naive. From the same paper…

They are all at it

Its like watching Saints - they get your hopes up and then shit on your dreams

Let me do it for you @Nottarf-Krap

"Dominic Raab clashed with BBC Breakfast presenter Charlie Stayt this morning after he was asked if he knew the current price of unleaded and diesel.

The Justice Secretary said he only buys unleaded and the last time he visited a petrol station it was at approximately 1.65-1.67 per litre. Mr Stayt said that it had ā€œgone upā€ recently.

Mr Raab asked Mr Stayt ā€œwell you tell me, what’s a litre of unleaded today?ā€ and the presenter said he had seen 1.99 for diesel at a service station on the M6.

Mr Raab pressed again on the price of unleaded: ā€œI’m just checking how in touch you are, because last time I filled up it was 165-167.ā€

Mr Stayt said that 168 was the latest price that he had seen for unleaded and Mr Raab replied: ā€œSo I was right.ā€ "

How shit an interviewer must you be if you get outflanked by Raab

A very powerful speech, a canary in the coalmine. She’s absolutely right, this country is on a very slippery slope, there’s no doubt in my mind that democracy as we know it is under threat at the moment.

I like Mhairi Black but was a bit naughty on this.

Wow, that is some deflection.
Any thoughts on what she said?

Not one of mine, I should add.

It’s not naivete, it’s just their political stance. There’s no pretence of impartiality at the Grauniad, they are fiercely partisan (as is their right.)

I’ve got a lot of time for Mhairi Black and think it’s a crying shame she’s not in the Labour Party. I’ve got a lot of time for what she is saying there too. She’s a bit late to the party, given that people have been talking about similar stuff for decades.

Remember that our own enabling act is 15 years old already.

However, the F word as she calls it, is both over-used and under-used. People don’t understand what it means and our system only borrows bits and pieces of it. Do we have armed militias like the SA or Mussolini’s lot? No.

Are the interests of corporations and state intertwined? Yes. Is that a problem? Absolutely. Is whipping out the ā€œfascismā€ term helpful in trying to overcome that? No, not to us boiling frogs.

She’d be better off trying to dismantle specific things, like our enabling act or the cosy revolving door relationships between state and business, than introducing that word.

Interesting story. I’d like to think it wouldn’t happen under an alternative government’s watch but I’m not so sure tbh.

From the Mail - haven’t even got the excuse of a gobby old biddie

A senior Conservative MP has been accused of plying four men with date-rape drugs, with a fellow Tory MP saying he woke up to find his nipples being licked.

The other alleged victims are a Labour MP, the flatmate of a different Tory MP and another man

WTAF - what is wrong with those fucking people.
