:tories: Tories in trouble?

I can’t quite believe that is a genuine story - but it is

How can someone be so catastrophically unaware?

Money.

Seriously, there are people who are doing alright - I occasionally count myself among them, and there are people with money.

The sort that’ll happily spend money on a London flat for the three years their kid is at University.

The really bad news is that the Conservatives in particular are full of people like this. What some on the left might see as cruelty I see as practiced indifference. They don’t know, which is why they don’t care.

I’ve been busy with the cruise ships lately, and they are rammed. Not just with the obviously wealthy but a whole demographic cross section.

Lots of people with money, none with class.

I’m sure your Comedy Stylings will go down a storm on board.

Mate it isn’t just at this level. It goes all the way down to “how do these people even breath?”

3 people walked into my shopping trolley in the Mall on Saturday all shouted at me, all got abuse from Mrs P_F

I was turning into the only parking space woman gets out her car behind me starts screaming that she was first…

And they weren’t Tories…

How lucky that we are all old farts and still have large brains…

Lots of old timers took a lump sum out of their pensions for such things.

To quote Michael Caine in Tenet replying to a remark by an American that the British hold a monopoly on snobbery, “not so much a monopoly dear boy, but you might call it a controlling interest.”

I’m sure they have. But that’s what I’ve noticed, it’s not only the stereotype OAP these days, there’s loads of people of working age and of seemingly all classes. I occasionally have to engage in conversation with passengers, plenty of them say it’s a regular thing for them.

I honestly think we’re all prone to it under the right circumstances. I’ve seen the missus turn into a right Lady Muck when the pap exchequer has been good.

I like what Harry Enfield had to say about wealth. He did a milk round before he was famous and used to serve the gamut, from stately mansions to councils estates.

He really didn’t mind the people at either at the end of the spectrum, thinking them genuine in their own styles. It was the nouveau riche he despised.

An article sponsored by the junk food lobby group…?

“Tory MP arrested on suspicion of rape and banned from the Commons”.

Place your bets please ladies and gents.

One from Johnson, Gove or The Minister for 1837?

Rumour has it that the accused is someone who until a few months ago was very high profile, but now seems to have disappeared from our screens. There have been claims of sightings of him with a Mr Farage at the white cliffs of Dover, dressed in Territorial Army combat fatigues with pairs of binoculars, scouring the channel for brown people in boats. Allegedly!

The Met are currently investigating around FIFTY cases of sexual misconduct by MPs. Makes you proud to be British! :face_vomiting:
