As far as I am concerned the silly cow deserves everything she gets. What is more fundamentally worrying is the absolute lack of judgement she displayed in doing this. It makes me wonder over what else she is displaying this lack of judgement.
At full risk of knowing I’m guilty of the charge myself at times, she just doesn’t know when to shut up. She put a small status up yesterday which just dismissed the anger as coming from a “tiny handful” of trolls. She got a deluge of responses, most of which were extremely mindful of the “troll” tag, and completely reasonable questions. That entire thread was deleted, which is her right, but doesn’t really sound like someone that is confident of her arguments.
She’ll probably get away with it as there is very little media interest.

Last week, when the story broke, I was amazed that it wasn’t really being covered and screamed about. Even as late as last night, I said she’s probably get away with it. Pretty amazing then, that she is doing a better job of covering it and screaming about it than anyone else.
It’s Telford. Target seat, sure - but not one that the Tories would have been especially confident of winning, and one that was ultimately decided on less than 1,000 votes. Even if they scuttle her onto another, safer seat, she has got to be finished in Telford by the end of this Parliament.
And just when you think it cannot get any worse, there’s this. I expect he’ll be a troll soon and his message will have a death threat on the end of it. CB Saint obviously not alone in his feelings.

Well she’s stubborn, I’ll give her that much.
Thing is, she probably has had a load of flak from some dickweeds who lurk on the web, which is why she is digging in (although making shit up is just biblicaly stupid). Her trouble is she has dug down so deep that she cannot see the obvious way out of this i.e. ignore it.

Possibly, but I was listening to Owen Jones’ take on the abuse he gets for various reasons, mostly from hard right wingers. He is sensible enough not to conflate that with Tory voters in general, which is what Lucy Allan should have done.
The problem is, even with her subsequent rants, she’s doing more harm than good. The message she doctored came from a Labour councillor’s son. She’s going off on one, claiming conspiracy, when it is just as likely that she saw an opportunity to rubbish her political rivals, and got it so very fucking wrong.
Does anyone else find it disturbing that after us, TUI is the most left wing Saints forum these days? And this is in spite of housing dune, Boris and Turks!

An MP of any persuasion who fabricates evidence and then stubbornly stands by that mistake deserves to be castigated.
As Blair is now finding out - and Cameron will probably find out in about five years time when Operation Clusterfuck is still ongoing in Syria.
