Please tell me you’re not trying to defend the bus campaign? 
You have to go out of your way to:-
a) suddenly think that Jeremy Hunt is going to plough 350m a week into the NHS.
b) that political outsiders like Farage, leading the charge, would actually be in a position to implement _government _policy.
c) that there were an instrumental number of people that believed a), b) or both.
Weren’t you recently telling us the vote to remain was driven largely by fear?
How can sir claim that, but then claim that something that was a large portion of the Vote Leave campaign held no sway in people’s voting behaviour? Particualrly given how much money was clearly spent pushing that message.
I do not believe for one second, Vote Leave would have invested the time nor money pushing that line if they did not believe it would say people’s voting behaviour.
There were also both current and former cabinet ministers happy to stand by that campaign - as shown in that picture. So I’m not overly sold on that, especially given the gleeful backing of the odious right-wing hate fuelled rags that backed both campaigns, and their owners that funded them.
Also, re: B. Farage was not part of Vote Leave, and not part of the NHS campaign. He was responsible for the entirely more disgusting and racist campaign.

You need to believe that the number of people wowed by that bus was greater than the number of reluctant Remainers shit scared by Gideon’s Referendum Eve announcements.
Ironically, Cameron probably contributed to his own and our exit. If he hadn’t spent the last years cutting public services and benefits, perhaps the “it’s all the fucking foreigners” rhetoric wouldn’t have landed as hard, wherever it was suggested.

Oi. I’m trying to make it relevant. I would also say that Cameron presided over a period of living standards that fell so badly that people felt they had nothing to lose.

In fairness, pap, I have pretty much argued this since day dot. Our problems are much more to do with the Tories, than the EU.
But hey, it’s not as if we have a long history of a rabidly right-wing press (and their obscenely rich owners) convincing working-class folk to vote against their own interests, or convincing them that the problems they face are because of immigrants and not the cunts actaully shafting them.

This is a lie, as we have never given the EU that amount. The rebate was deducted before any payment was made, so it’s a lie to say they have ever taken it.

I completely accept they went for the maximum they could technically get away with on the one and only statement. Par for the political course, innit? PMs have been doing it week on week for years in PMQs (edit: was Question Time, just to keep TCK’s post sane).
It really is pointless discussing the matter with pap. It’s been done over and over again and he’s never provided an acceptable response. It’s so clearly a lie that to say otherwise just makes you look daft.
