The Russians are bridging all over the shop and the Mail reports on the failed attempt. I don’t think it’s important. It’s seven tanks and a load of armoured vehicles getting effectively ambushed by defenders in a fixed position.
As for the city they’re trying to completely encircle? Well, looking at the map, I wouldn’t have started from there.
It was more the numbered of Armoured Troop Carriers, av 8 troops + crew each that is a lot of losses in one go. Wasn’t looking at the strategic stuff
They probably lost them on purpose as a decoy - similar to the attack on Kiev.
