šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡¦ The War/Invasion in/of Ukraine

This might go some way to explaining some of the shit going down. Published in 2019 but crucially US lead.

It’s a long read but a lot of relevant stuff - it’s almost as if someone had a crystal ball on what’s happening across Europe and in Ukraine.

No, not as it stands, the west are doing their best but we’re walking a tightrope.

We’ll differ on that, but I’m not that bothered about arguing that point.

What gets them out from under the bus?

Well the obvious really, Putin to stop having visions of himself as Stalin or Hitler and to get his army within his borders.
If he digs in he’ll lose long term, Europe may suffer but the US won’t and they call the shots, the US crushes Russia military and economically whilst we may go cold the Russians will be isolated, China in its language is already going cold, they’ve corona to worry about and will have looked at Russia absolute balls up of the invasion and think Taiwan will be like that but on steroids.
One of the better suggestions are democratically held elections in Crimea, Donbas and Luhansk on autonomy with elections being held every 10 years or until its felt they’re stable enough not to have a timetable.
The allowance of Ukraine to join the EU but not NATO for 10 years BUT their security and borders are monitored and assured by external nations of Ukraine’s choosing no more that 4, probably Poland, US, Germany and another.
These nations will also have to come to Ukraine’s aid on invasion until its joins NATO if it so chooses.
No missiles will be deployed in Ukraine but they have the right to have anti aircraft and aircraft and missile detection systems on their borders.

Seems fair seeing its their country.

A lot of supposition there

Maybe read that article I just posted before pontificating maybe?

In addition to these
real vulnerabilities, Russia also suffers from deep-seated anxieties about
the possibility of Western-inspired regime change, loss of great-power
status, and even military attack.

I posted this 10 hours ago or similar, look

if you know history Russia has been invaded many times from the Mongols to Napoleon and this has leaked into their cultural psyche and turned into a paranoia for some.

I’ve read a lot of stuff like this and its good, Russia is a failing state reliant of fossil fuel to sell and an increasingly totalitarian regime to keep the people down.

Not disagreeing- I’m more interested in the role of the US in the conflict. You seem to be avoiding this (apologies if I’m doing you a disservice given the monumental amount of dross on this thread)

The US’s role is one of self serving national long term interest, like any other nation.

Escalation time

Means I gotta go back & retrain those kids on Chieftain simulators after doing such a good job on M1 Abrams

Putin is not going to withdraw his troops based on your wishes.

Ukraine is still under the bus. How does any of what you’ve suggested, predicated on there being a Ukraine left after hostilities have ceased, get them out from under the wheels now?

It’s either military supplies, military intervention from overseas, both of which could spark World War 3.

If it was down to chucking Ukraine under the bus or World War 3, which would you choose?

He’d choose WW3
And as those new Nukes head to UK he’ll still be typing but I’m not wrong

You’ve thrown them under the bus as you don’t like that question or more importantly the answers, if Ukraine goes so will Moldova, then Georgia, then what? The US reading today is in the for the long haul, more US troops, more NATO, more weapons, more sanctions and possibly Finland joining NATO.

If Putin knew what lay ahead 60 days ago no way would have he done this, he has united Ukraine and created a solidified nation that now hates him and turns westward, he has strengthened NATO and he caused 15,000 Russians to die, he has collapsed the Russian economy and turned the European lust for their oil and gas to die in weeks.

A shitshow and one of his making.

Well I wouldn’t sell out on a nation, ask the Poles how that felt like and what happened to them when the British did it 70 years ago.

Perfect.
Bazbot advocates nuclear annihilation of all life on Earth to support a speech made by Merkel and the objectives of the US MILIND machine.

I’ll message my Grandkids as the missiles come in to tell them you are happy they died so you could finally feel good for 4 minutes

Where have I said that? Why are British lives more important than Ukrainian ones? Also what makes you even think that Putin would stop at Ukraine?
There are millions of Ukrainians where you live, go and explain your theory to them, I’d be interested in knowing how you got on.

Like the Russians?

You were quite clearly given one of two options.

  • Throwing Ukraine under the bus
  • World War 3, which let’s be clear, will involve nuclear weapons

Now that the choice has been laid out so simply, what do you say?
