šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡¦ The War/Invasion in/of Ukraine

This is quite interesting

Again, before Barry accuses me as a Putin Nosher, I can see why this might be something we’d do.

That being said, why haven’t we done the same with supporters of separatism in Norn Ireland? Too close to home or interest from the USA.

But as posted earlier to @pap , obviously:

Yes and the Russians haven’t raped and killed innocents before…

I don’t think I’d ever accuse someone of that.

Haven’t you already done that - check the thread and let me know.

I think it was Chertsey who coined that term.

Here is the post I didn’t post.

I’m cool, not affected or upset, no need to apologise son.

Apart from calling me son, I accept it was @WorzelScummage , but tbf based on your form it would be a fair assumption that it could have came from you, but this thread is a mess.

(Do try to stop the ā€œsonā€ bit though. It’s very passive aggressive and not big or clever )

I wouldn’t assume if I were you, its better for all that way mush.

Do you know what, I purposely left ā€œmushā€ out of my post to see if you’d respond using it.

Ffs. Grow up Barry. :joy:

Russian ship Moskva has been hit with two Ukrainian Neptune missles, 510 men onboard, not known if sinking or not.

He has a valid point

He is entirely wrong

Strategic lives matters

The reason fuck all help goes to Ethiopia is that is has relatively little strategic value, until it does. Then the money will pour in

I don’t think anyone cares about the lives at all.

They probably care more about the resources.

Strategy only matters if you’re planning a military campaign. Is that was NATO is doing with its encirclement of Russia on the Eastern border?

Or is it all the bounty in the Donbass?

Thats not true - strategy could be about regional influence, or resources as you highlighted

I disagree, but there you go :man_shrugging:t3:

What a bang up job the US has done of ā€œinfluencing the regionā€.

Tom Clancy once wrote through his characters that war was armed robbery writ large. It’s a bit more refined than that. It’s an armed robbery where third parties pay the robbers during the robbery.

Pap, Ethiopia issues is about a dam and that involves two other nations, the renaissance dam affects the flow of the Nile, a future war (I think I’ve said this) is on the cards between Egypt and Ethiopia, water wars are the future wars as we ironically move away from gas and oil.
The US and west will probably get pulled into that as well.
Anyway make a geo political thread so we aren’t distracted.
