đŸ‡ș🇩 The War/Invasion in/of Ukraine

Like I said.
They won’t pay the interest due.
And Putin doesn’t give a shit

NLAW. JAVELIN.
Russians have nothing to counter.

Tbf under sanctions they are given a period of grace to unwind their positions

Further to our discussion on Russian diesel

It would be bad but us not using Russian diesel wouldn’t be the end of the World, one of the reason we’re one of the strongest in condemnation of Putins regime is we’re not reliant on Russia for our economy to function, others however are far more exposed.

Don’t worry you can substitute cooking oil, oh wait

Killing of civilians in Palestine, Iraq, Yemen etc not condemned as “terrible war crime”. Some mistake surely!

Does that mean Putin gets a free pass?

Once again equivalence, start a thread about them then, this is about Russias invasion of Ukraine and then hugely violating human rights, on a scale not seen since possibly Pol Pot.

This recent Home Office guidance may help.

Ah that old chesnut, they are refugees though aren’t they? Not too sure what your point is, also most of their men are staying behind and fighting for their nation, now if it were Lois your point make have hit the wall, not the board but the wall.

The Home Office wouldn’t admit your old chestnut. See the chart.

Anyway, lets stay on track and not whack in equivalence whatabouttery about those human rights bastions of Gaza, West Bank (not Palestine as its never been a sovereign nation (cue furious googling to see that I’m correct)but an idea but I get your drift), Yemen etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc.
I’m more than up for discussing these wondrous places (note that their neighbours have built up huge massive walls to keep them out (more furious googling) on another thread, this one is about the demise of a sovereign nation.

What is the relevance of that? Your arguments on this thread have been strangely one dimensional and seem to side on the, “Yeah, but ‘x’ also did that”, thinking that is a defence?

Well it just goes to demonstrate the rather selective approach we have to human suffering. If we or our allies cause it, it’s not headline news.

If it’s our enemies and the downtrodden happen to be white, we suddenly care.

Sotonians is no different from the public in this respect.

Well we can make an effort, my dear brother was pulled up all the time for supposedly being guilty of getting threads to veer off, let’s learn from him and try and stay relevant and on what the thread is titled.

I don’t think it does - you don’t receive much (if any) arguments on this site when the above atrocities are mentioned.

Let’s put it this way - do you think the crimes mentioned above constitute war crimes? Simple yes or no.
