Why are there people still trying to justify what Russia are doing? Yes, the West is to blame for pushing Putin, but that doesnât justify the way the invasion has taken place.
Itâs like the battered wife thing - âwell she provoked me.â Doesnât justify the reaction.
Exactly, one hell of a lot of victim blaming going on here, what many I think donât want to admit is theyâre playing the old my enemies enemy is my friend routine, they donât particularly like Russia but they hate the west more so theyâre looking to blame the west actions over Russia.
The same can be said for the Palestine and Yemen situations, they donât actually like them per se (just look at their politics and human rights) they just like them a bit more than the west.
Theyâll never admit it though but its sticks out, everything is turned against the west, everything, yet they never move out of the west. Thatâs the price of freedom of speech I suppose.
I donât even think itâs that, I think to a certain degree itâs a case of just being contrary for contraries sake.

A Russian newspaper published that they have had 10k KIA and 14k wounded. It was said that the source was the defence ministry. The article has subsequently been removed but not before it got screen grabbed by several journalist

Minutes later, this part of the article disappeared from the page, but we were able to take screen grabs of the relevant paragraphs.
KP editor Vladimir Sungorkin subsequently told the BBC the information had been the result of a hack, and said the paper will post an explanation later.â

I think you could multiply those casualty figures by some factor and the cost would still be worth it to Putin. He doesnât have to pay it, after all.

But then, the West was happily trading with Nazi Germany pre-war even though it knew that it was extreme.
Port of Southampton used to feature a Nazi flag among a list of other national flags in the 1930s.
History records that many Ukrainians were enthusiastic Nazis and helped persecute the minorities. Oddly enough, there are militias around Mariupol that are very proud of that.

History does show many Ukrainians were enthusiastic Nazis as were the Dutch and French, having 4 million of your countrymen starved to death a few years before does give it some context.
And what were Poland doing in 1923?
That is wholly untrue, many in the British establishment were against Hitler, (Hore-Bellisha, Churchill, Stewart-Murray) and it wasnât that Britain was for him it was the cost it would take to stop him and Chamberlainâs policy of appeasement strengthened Hitlers hand (some see it as it bought the allies time but thats bollocks).
