I said a while back the Chinese will always row back on their support for Russia, in shithouse terms theyâre bloodbrothers but China still needs the US to function so they were always going to go back that way, the US economy is 10 times larger than Russias, other than cheap gas what can they offer?
Putin has damaged Russia beyond repair, reading last night that many sanctions will be lasting, huge brain drain from a nation that already has a decreasing population and huge issues with paying state employees, pensions and the army.
The worldâs biggest market isnât going to be buying anything if itâs skint though. Which it increasingly is. They donât pay anything like the fuel duty we do and the pips are starting to squeak.
Pap that may be your wish but the reality is far from that, who do you genuinely think a trade war will hurt more? Fuel will be tight, expensive (very) but Iâve never seen such unity from the EU and US so they will ride it out and probably have to deal with undesirables but that is what the World is, an undesirable place much of the time.
Apart from Masses of mining resources and energy plus food to feed the workers, the literal fundamental requirements of an industrial manufacturing economy, in literally the next door country what the fuck does Russia have to offer China? Hmmmm? Nothing only fucking Weapons technology, Aviation technology, Space technology, a diplomatic alliance and a market for Chinese goods. Literally next door. Fucking useless.

Pointing out some realities, and that is only part of the issue. Iâve seen recent reports that the Saudis are looking to accept Yuan as currency in payment for oil. The dollar is money printed by fiat and its position as the world currency for buying oil is one of the big reasons it hasnât collapsed. Itâs a commodity to get a commodity.
If that changes, I think the US is in big trouble.

Having watched quite a few Colonel Douglas MacGregorâs videos now (Iâve got COVID again so Iâve got the time). Im inclined to believe that heâs got it right. Iâve yet to see an equivalent military expert vouching for the Ukrainian side giving a convincing explanation for what weâre seeing in the maps.
Iâve yet to see a convincing explanation for why Russia would be performing so poorly and why Ukraine would be performing so well.
All I see is characterisation of the Russians as all completely incompetent which strikes me as wishful thinking.
Lets keep your assessment there and mine and we can sadly judge see what the damage is when this hopefully finishes.

His politics are terrible but on the other hand where do you expect to find a high ranking US military person with good politics? His politics is one thing but Iâm more interested in his military experience, which is real.

You see this is where bias comes from, how many others agree with him? How many say the total opposite? Pictures say a totally different story, the Russian media has closed down what does that tell you?

The Russian media has been suppressing media images of the war from the start before there was even any claim that they were having problems before their media was shut down in the West. I think It was a deliberate ploy to shield the home audience from seeing the truth of the destruction that was to come.
The flip side is that there is then very little media out there to counter the Ukrainian and Western media who have free reign to make the narrative that they want.
