⚽ 🔄 The Summer (or Autumn) 2020 transfer thread

I have already signed him for Saints on FM20 and he’s incredible, so for that reason fully believe this is happening

“ The Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl is said to be concerned by his side’s ‘lack of authority’ in central midfield.”

I’d also be just as concerned with how wank* our CB’s are in particular.

Unless it has genuinely resurfaced, then it’s an old story. Stoke fans are all for it, and I mean all 100% of them. It seems he has been their version of Forster and they either want him reconditioned or binned. And they think Gunn is quality. We probably are going to lend them Gunn, but yeah, do we need another goalkeeper that needs re-tuning?

Just proves how skint we are and what we’re buying.
Gao will be happy at 17th and the collecting the money from the TV rights, going down would be bitter sweet.

Did none of them watch the Leicester game?

Fair enough, it will most likely be just Gunn heading there if anything. Forster must have been given some sort of assurance that he was in contention otherwise he wouldn’t have snubbed Celtic in the manner that he did.

FM20? Are you saying you have access to the “Blackbox”??? :exploding_head:

We’ll see - if Saints end up winning the Champions League with a team containing Alex Grimaldo, Allesandro Bastoni, Dayot Upamecano, Florentino Luis, Phil Foden, Eduardo Camavinga, Thiago Almada and Pietro Pellegri then I’ll admit that I’m a time traveller

I thought we’d worked out that the Black Box was an Excel spreadsheet and a scrapbook of yellowing clippings from the sports section of the Echo?

No it wouldn’t. It would be shit.

No it wouldn’t, why would it be shit? We’re whipping boys and stepping stones for many, fuck that it isn’t sport but a turkey shoot, at least in the Championship we’d go into every game thinking we could win or there’d be a good game, the punters are fucked off now and I doubt even when restrictions end will we sell out as they’ve had 4 years of wankery, a lack of transparency and no one knows the objectives of the club.
If we went down there’d be that goal and prize of promotion to unify.

Remind us again why you say you support the Saints Barry…

…or, we could end up like countless other mid-sized clubs and just make up the numbers in the championship. Or get relegated again, and make up the numbers in L1.

Towards the end of last season I thought we had a good chance of winning in every game we played. Thinking relegation would be in anyway a desirable outcome is an absolute pile of shite.

We make up the numbers in the Premiership.

Why?

Because its where I’m from, irrespective of what league they’re in I’ll always bitch and moan about them, that’s my right as a supporter of them, the club, its an extension of me, I’m comfortable with it, I say it as it is, I won’t let other fans of other clubs belittle my club, again thats my right and funnily enough what 90% of fans do about their clubs, say their clubs are shit.

Fair enough, odd way of showing it tbf.

Why? I care so I say it, the fans paying to see the shit after the last 4 years deserve credit but they should be more vocal about the shit they been served up, they’d be fair more vocal up here about it but football is seen as more of a way of life and an identity here than down south, nothing wrong with either but things would be different (it probably wouldn’t make any difference regardless) here.

So does every side outside of the top 7 or 8.

I haven’t said they don’t.
