But, what difference would it make if we were making up the numbers in a lower division? We got lucky with Markus, that’s not likely to happen again if we were relegated. We would struggle to compete for the championship promotion spots.
But we’d have something to aim for, what are we aiming for now?

We’ve about as much chance of that as me buying a round, have the club also stated this? They said fuck all so how do we know what their objectives are? There at least 4/5 clubs stronger than us as well, our best is about 12th/13th, good enough for Gao and the TV money I suppose.
3, we got knocked out the League Cup playing our strongest side and Brentford played a weaker one.

As you wish. Walker-Peters looks pretty decent and certainly an upgrade on Cedric and Valery.
And cause for optimism that Salisu is also going to be an upgrade. Both the Madrid clubs apparently think so.
