Shane Long is pretty decent in the air, TBF

Don’t worry I wasn’t going full Sanchez on you. Just a thought. But as I speculated yesterday I think it’ll be a young’n who might be ready next year.

“That’s when the opposition are at their most spread. It’s a big chance for me to open my legs.”

I beg your pardon, Nathan?

Other than this very questionable choice of words, he’s saying all the right things.

Good interview that, cheers

Fair play

Why don’t these fucktards wait for the ‘official’ announcements from the clubs anymore?

He may have grown but he certainly hasn’t outgrown Southampton FC.

Enjoy your pay rise and tell Brendan I said ‘go fuck yaself’.

Love it.
Ings said nothing for days got pelters.

Saints fans eh.

Bit different. Ings was from Southampton and said he’d only leave for a top club in Europe. He got deserved pelters for being a disingenuous ass.

Vestergaard’s message has received criticism from me because it makes it sound like he’s been great for us over the three years and he’s deserving of his move. In reality he was more or less garbage for two years and came good for six months and then he’s off the day before the season starts. If Leicester REALLY wanted him he’d have gone weeks ago but they only moved for him once Fofana got crocked.

£15K for an experienced Premier league and international defender.
Our transfer dealings by the board are a joke.

It’s not like they are just shit at negotiating. It’s that or lose players for nothing next summer. And for a club like ours who rely on player sales to reinvest, we’d not have any money to replace those players. Other clubs will know this.

Personally I think Ings looked disinterested towards the end of last season so what’s the point in keeping people like that with one eye on the next payday.

And if we hadn’t sold him we’d have a disinterested player for next season, who would probably spend most of his time on the bench mooning about.

Get rid and get someone in who wants to play for us.

Rumours out there that Callum Chambers may be on his way back, as a Vestegaard replacement, thought he was more a right than centre back but hey-ho…

BTW Ralph said this in the SDE earlier, which is where I think the rumours are coming from…

“Will we sign a young one? The centre-back position it is not one hundred percent necessary that we sign a younger player.” “Signing an experienced player in this position can help you massively, when he accepts his role. If he can accept his role then yes, this is a massive transfer opportunity.”

Tomiyasu (Bologna), Milenkovic (Fiorentina) and Caleta-Car (Marseille) would all be much much much better options and are available in the “€20m or less” bracket.

Would be very disappointed if we spent similar money on any of Chambers, Kabak or Phillips

Tomiyasu too expensive for us.

I thought Spurs had agreed it at £17m but are now changing their mind

NOW he can post his love letter.

Only a three year deal. Taking him to 32 years. Doesn’t scream “you’re going to be an important player for us” to me.
