As I said on the other thread, heās not perfect but I think Austin wouldnāt be a bad bet. Unlike an overseas gamble we know he is capable in the Prem. He scored a decent amount of goals in a shite team last year, so heād be right at home here 
Iām not adverse to going to gamble route, but think right now someone proven would be wiser. If we were looking a bit more solid, and the move was more with next season in mind, and the 2nd half of this season was a ābedding in periodā that wouldnāt be so bad. But feel right now we need someone who can hit the ground running. With only 6 months or so on his contract, Austin should be available at a (relatively) sensible price.

Austin would be a good buy. He has bags of skill and has scored some truely beautiful goals. Should fit in here nicely as well.

Yep I think Austin would be a reasonable buy at what should be south of 10m. Foreign buys are for the summerā¦Austin is a physically strong player who shouldnāt need much assimilation timeā¦if heās no injured.

Looks like Everton have agreed a Ā£4m deal with Leeds for Byram. Would have liked us to go in for him really, especially at that price.
