No test is 100%. It is, however, the most reliable available. Your original assertion that “they don’t really prove much” is inaccurate

No. You would need a more complex test for the gene(s) that code for pointed ears.

Covid test booked for tomorrow if clear (it should be) flight to Paris Thursday morning then onward to EG and another 2 weeks quarantine.

Test results back on time so trundle off to the airport early to make sure not rushing with all the checks.
The airport is empty straight to check in desk. Scan all the paperwork and visas for EG. Straight through immigration also clear. Into the business lounge within 20 mins of getting in the airport.
I will hate this travelling when the crowds come back.
