When I registered for the test I was told 24-48 hours. In the test pack it said it could be 3-5 days for results. It’s now 5-6 days down the line and still no results.
What does that mean in practical terms?
I went back to work on Thursday as I was feeling OK and it was past the 7 days since first symptoms guidance.
But the guidance for the wife is to ‘isolate’ with me, without symptoms, for 14 days.
You may remember that I registered her to receive a test kit too, but the website didn’t accept it and I was only sent one kit.
The process doesn’t appear to be working, and whilst I don’t even think I had COVID-19, these flaws in the process - perhaps because of the rush to hit an artificial figure of 100K tests, will fuck up our ability to track and trace and may cost lives.

I have read that Deloitte (again) have centralised the testing process.
And then read that - for example - in Cambridge, where the University Labs test 100’s of thousands of other diseases a year are not on the approved list to test for the Virus even though they are testing Private Swabs.
Germany went regional Boris Centralised to his mates and their Interns have no idea how to handle it.

14km drive today to Krzscezcrwczrwczowice or something - small town & their Monday market.
Place was enormous.
Not bad social distancing masks on and rammed.
Required a 6am alarm call ffs.
Anyway I now have a zillion Brownie points as Mrs P_F & Mum bought a gazillion bedding out plants just in time for it to (possibly) snow this week.
