I heard that alcohol kills it ⌠just sayin, it is Friday night !
Hot toddies mate, you need hot toddies. Hope youâre feeling better soon.
Good luck.
And well done for helping Handcock get nearer his 100k
Thoughts with you big manâŚ
Nah, purposely waited until the 1st of May.
His commitment was to hit it in yesterdayâs figures.
Actually, some credit - the process was quite smooth.
When my taste went yesterday morning I went on the testing sign-up site and there were no home test kits available. This morning I was expecting the same and was expecting to go to a testing centre, but was able to sign up for a home-test one.
They validate that you are a keyworker via a work email it seems. You are sent a code to validate that you are who you say. Not sure if the validation is done in real-time or if someone will manually check email addresses to known keyworker organisations?
The only issue came when I tried to request a kit for the wife - which they tell you to do. Something went wrong with the user interface when I tried to add her details and the screen wouldnât let me proceed until Iâd deleted her and re-added her. At the end, the summary said they would be sending 1 kit(s). I went back to remove and add her again but again but it still said theyâre sending 1 kit.
I blame Hancock.
Interestingly, the instructions say that when the kit arrives, and before you swab, you need to phone to order a courier to be dispatched - meaning the courier will be there to collect the test quickly after itâs completed. Sounds very slick.
Some of this online stuff they have cobbled together has been very good - I said previously that the furlough application site was amazingly easy to use and the cash turned up
Goes to show what can be done when people donât have time to overthink things and have a clear objective
I guess Accenture (or whatever they are called these days) werenât involved. Probably used some pre-built website from Go DaddyâŚ
From someone who would work on gathering the requirements for this kind of thing, the premise is incredibly simple, as Iâm sure the Devs on this site will attest to.
Havenât received my furlough money yetâŚ
yeah, premise is simple, itâs when you start getting project managers involved that things grind to a haltâŚ
Absolutely, although considering the general laziness of PMs, and considering the laziness of people in the Public Sector organisations like the HMRC etc, I canât imagine theyâd stick their oar in too much - especially as there should be no budget here to manage.
Took about a week from application to hit out account
Feel like Iâm back in Blighty today.
Bank Holiday.
Raining. (Enough to stop outdoor work, not enough to help with the Drought)
Anyone else got any plans for the long weekend? A trip to the Compost Heap? Maybe even a day in the Queue for B&Q?
Send rain!
Been light rain & showers for few days but soil here is still like dust 2 inches down.
Just been told you lot cancelled MayDay & went all in for next FridayâŚ
Woah, woah, woah ⌠just be careful there Monsewer Bob-La. Not all PMs are cast from the same mould.
LOL. Does the ayatollah know how much it was?!
Is that a swimming pool on the left?
Dirty sex pond.
Easy place to store the bodies as well, if youâve got a decent cover.
