I was off sick last Thursday. Not with Covid-19 though had some of the minor symptoms Iām pretty sure it was a combo of something I ate and exhaustion. I was fine by Friday.
Got a bit annoyed with some lads in a car in the car park. Not sure how they got in as not residents of any of the blocks of flats or houses. They kept going up ad down car park (the noise reversing makes ). Pretty annoying when I was working. Shouted out the window and I was told they were having food (of course!). They did and left. Seems they came specifically to collect some grub. Pretty sure this wasnāt essential and they were not housemates.
Went for a quick walk after being in all day and my partner did point out to someone they should be keeping their distance. They didnāt get it. Ah well.
Iām not in the office until next Friday. Which is good as donāt have to physically interact with anyone.
Yesterday at work we got offered free sandwiches, cake and fruit and then a load of hotel chocolate stuff arrived. It will all go out of date by end of april so theyāre donating it to the food parcels and staff. Neither of these things I can eat (just the fruit)
Iād like to be furloughed now. Done with all the working at home.
Hi guys. Iāve been thinking about doing something to help out during the Coronavirus lockdown. All the key workers have been brilliant, putting their lives on the line for us. Iām going to try and raise money for the NHS by asking people to sponsor me as I walk around my garden. The goal is to get Ā£13m. Please give generously for the nurses
Wash your mouth out you Nurse Haterā¦Iāve been scanning the internet this morning looking for a worthy cause and after clicking on that bogus weblink, Iām now going to help Mumah Gadaffiās daughter Ayesha release her fatherās fortune from a numbered Swiss bank account.
This morningās mail has arrived with the Boris Letter updating us on this Corvid-19 virus thingey. Unfortunately itās taken three weeks to get here so, as youād expect, more of the countryās money fuckinā wasted.
I got Mabel our Parlour Maid to open it, making sure to stand well back. She read it outā¦something about might have to lock-down or some such nonsense. I told her to use the sugar tongs to put it in the recycling binā¦so some good might eventually come from it.

We are six, eight if you count the pets. The eldestās boyf-unit has been shipped from London and is a potential package of infection, ready to kill us all. He looks well at the moment. Weāre not planning on isolating him. The iron maiden remains unused.
The report of his trip was interesting. He got an Uber to the station, which was driven by a mask and glove wearing driver, separated from our trafficked human by a sheet of plastic.
London Euston was apparently empty, and he was one of two passengers alighting the train to Liverpool at the capitalās express route to the North West.
He is not a bad lad, more geeky in many ways than I am and has seen a lot of the same nineties sci-fi as I have, despite his tender years.
Itās actually nice to be amongst a relative crowd in these times. Multi-player gaming sessions should be easy enough to organise.
Wow.
Breaking News.
Easing restrictions here. Masks, gloves 2m social distance even from family members outside the house mandatory BUT
From Monday, Parks, Forests, Shops over 100m2 can have 3 people per cash desk - ie ANY Shops
Church 1 person per 15m2
Hair/Spas, Bars Restaurants stay shut.
I had an interview recently on line using Teams. It was a strange experience but I got through to the next round. Got an email today saying because of the on-going uncertainty theyāve withdrawn the vacancy. Fucking Corona cunts.
There are jobs out there - we are still picking up vacancies and filing roles - enough to keep the wolves from the doors
Some sectors are fucked - totally. Others have some interesting new opportunities. With travel restrictions, in country short term requirements have become common place.

It is Friday morning. Like the rest of the working world, Friday was normally a day of celebration, but in these extraordinary times, its sheen has been tarnished. All Friday means is that Iām not obliged to put in a dayās work for the next two days.
Today Iām waiting to hear the Lost Evenings fest in Berlin next month is postponed or not cancelled then I can sort all the flights and accommodation.
Anyone sleeping more? Definitely easier as itās very quiet.
Today been weeding out & digging up Strawberries - backbreaking.
This afternoon, a video clip for the world of Key Note Speakers - what gift has Lockdown given you - more on that later.
Next replant Strawberries, don NBC suits drive to small town collect seedling potatoes, buy washing up liquid & bread.
Interesting that tales from the village is becoming a thing. Not viral but Iāve actually had people look at my linkedin profile & connect & the training guys I was talking to before this have started enjoying the ācontentā.
Who knows, maybe I will work again!
