I have been watching Space 1999 - it is so much better than I remember (ignoring the 50 year old Production/Special Effects
But who knew Taylor Swift was so old.

Which one is she?
I actually quite enjoyed it, yeah the plot is all over the place but it is Snyder after all.
Wasnāt the Seven Samurai also made into the Magnificent Seven or an i making that up?
Yes of course The 7 is a tale for all times. And, tbh Yulās 7 cowboys it could have been Zacks influence in this film as easily as the Japanese
It really is a strange one to review. It is a mess but I loved it, and I think the 2nd film may just tighten some of those threads up. He has simply taken a bunch of great story telling hooks and strung them (almost) together
Series 2 of What If has dropped from Marvel.
Cracking alternate reality stories and cracking casts.
Tbh close call whether this or Loki is the best stuff MCU have put out this year.
2 Episodes down so far
Ms Marvel.
Why? Nobody gives a shit about the Krulls & the Skree as seen by Secret Invasion.
So why bring their war back we already had a TV show with Nick Fury & the whoever on Earth. But now they are in space?
What a mess.
And what a shame, because actually the core idea of the film - rotating Girl Power is quite entertaining for the first 30 or so minutes.
It could have been good and it sets up something in the post credits scene. I found it mildly entertaining at times, good fights & CGI but no, wasnāt worth paying whatever a cinema ticket in US or UK costs, hell not even here.
My nearly 6 year old Grand-daughter will love it of course, but not sure that was the market MCU was aiming at.
My rating - it was mildly entertaining but still very close to being shit, yet better than Black Adam & Shazaam 2 and I enjoyed it slightly more than Antman Quantumania.
So yes, the rating is.
As good as Secret Invasion or whatever the TV show with Nick Fury was called
Good news. Invasion is quirky and a different view of invasion movies. S1 was a bit disjointed, getting used to multiple concurent small stories on a big canvas, S2 was much tighter.
S2 had an ending but left so many possibilities.
This is good news, another Apple + sci-fi winner
Watched Loki season two over the weekend and despite having that same āIāve eaten too much ice-cream, I canāt possibly eat any moreā feeling weāre all having around the capeshit, the first season had an interesting enough premise for me to give this a go.
I am glad I did. Very much a two-header with the first season. Theyāve probably saved a shitload on set design, but I wonāt moan. They told an interesting story where something meaningful happens at the end.
Carried by the standout acting abilities on display as well.
I think capeshit is moving on to Monsterverse until Marvel find the recipe.
Monarch:Legacy has sent me back to watch some of the Hollywood Titan stuff in a more engaged mode and has made me want to see Tohoās Godzilla Minus One which would have been unthinkable 10 weeks ago
I am having a look at the Monarch stuff as I have recently been re-watching all of those films.
It certainly makes you think. People give soap operas all kinds of credit for dealing with so-called ādifficult issuesā but none of them have ever dealt with Godzilla *.
* Except maybe Brookside, back in the day.
I think the ābut he was my Dadā was straight outta Eastenders.
But they never got to the why isnt Grandad 90 years old when heā 90 untilā¦
And the trailer park stuff straight outta neighbours.
It has changed my Forest walk routine though need a bigger stick in case i run into a Bramble Boar
The theme tune to a rehab patient.
I hope they see the chink of light they have given themselves.
Echo is not crap. It could have been Netflix MCU which tbh was better but it brings Hawkeye & Daredevil back with the superbly cast Kingpin.
I preferred the aftermath of the finger chopping but needed a break
I want to have a rant about the MCU, or more specifically, the army of failed screenwriters on YouTube that have spent all of Phase Four bitching about it. I say this after catching up with most of the Marvel films I havenāt seen and watching Loki and What If? The only thing I havenāt watched is Secret Invasion, which I hear is a bit shit.
To listen to thse fuckers, youād think that bad movie after bad movie was being churned out. Itās not the case. If you put any of the recent films on, say thirty years ago, theyād all be regarded as mindblowing.
The biggest laugh of course is those cunts in the manosphere that REALLY hate She-Hulk.
I have to ask. Have these fuckers ever read the comics at all? There have been ample takes on the She-Hulk character. What ended up on screen is not a million miles away from some of the runs.
Finally, I think the whole Kang thing is great. You couldnāt just have another Thanos, and personal troubles and potential convictions aside, Jonathan Majors is killing it in every incarnation.
Hmmm, I quite enjoyed it but then Iām not a Marvelāophile and I donāt get upset by canon inconsistencies etc. etc.
TBF the only Phase 4 film Iāve watched is āNo Way Homeā Iāve just been turned off Marvel stuff recently, too many of them, not enough time in the day.
Thats the biggest downer for me. Every show you need a PHD in MCU or to be a comic fan to pick up links hooks or Easter eggs
Secret Invasion was OK it wasnt a flash CGI thing so was hated.
Also, where /when did Earth have FTL Space ships, space elevators & stations? Did imiss that whole origin story or did Starlord have something to do with it?
MCU need to learn everyone watched Ironman & Avengers.
Niw they are producing stuff for readers of comics which is a much smaller and vocal audience.
You still got Echo to catch up
For All Mankind S4 Finale.
For the love of God people start filming S6!
Shaddup!
am only just starting S2 ep 4 as we speak
Yeah but same applues to each finale tbh.
And each wpisode is
It is now over 30 years since Epis31 of The X Files dropped in the US.
Just watched it.
Worryingly I remember a great deal of yhe detail of that episode!
And the fashion?
