Xanax has moved on.
Luckily after a couple of snoozes, I, unlike @pap & everyone I know only fell asleep twice in the early turds.
It really hasnât got much better and now we are at Ep8.
Except, when I say hasnât got much better, that doesnât mean the storyline. As an origin series, we have seen Gondor come alive and we have been kept guessing who is Sauron & who is? Well someone else.
NEVER saw the Sauron reveal coming.
Look the show isnât House of Dragon hell, it isnât even close to Avenue 5, BUT it has become a story worth following IF like me you arenât a complete LotR nerd who read every single thing around the books.
Welcome to Wrexham
Avenue 5
Andor
Dragons
Star Trek Lower Decks
Rings
House of the Dragon did its penultimate episode, which is usually the âholy fuckâ shock episode. Thereâs no doubt that a LOT changes in this episode, focusing as it does on the aftermath of Viserysâ death. Remember that Rhaenyra buggered off to Dragonstone last week, and doesnât know of her fatherâs passing.
Those in Kings Landing do quite a bit to stop anyone from finding out, keeping it schtum for days, bunging all the witnesses into a dungeon and anyone that doesnât fancy going along with the new order onto a noose.
Thereâs a struggle within the Green faction too, as people set out their different visions for what an Aegon II monarchy would have to look like. Otto is insistent that Rhaenyra and her heirs must be killed. Alysant wants to keep her childhood friend alive and give her an honourable way out.
Alysant isnât the only one to indulge in half measures or put a limit on her ruthlessness. Rhaenis, still in Kings Landing, is the mirror of Alysant in this episode. Both could have been utterly ruthless and gotten away with it. Both will live long enough to regret their compassion.
Leaving aside the female-only traps thet have to endure, both fell foul to one of Westerosâ deepest held cultural beliefs, that no man is more accursed than the kinslayer.
Just found the new Doctor Who episode.
Wow. What an opening scene!
Which was actually the 60th Anniversary one not this weeks. Hopefully means someone is uploading Season 14 at last
Andor continues to excel.
This week Ep9 we see depths of The Empire never seen before, itâs like a curtain being lifted on the true Darkness.
Maybe itâs great because there are no Jedi, no Skywalkers & Palpatine is just a casual reference
Stellen Skarsgard continues to shine and now Forest Whitaker has rocked up.
This is good TV with a great cast who can ACT
Unlike the Rings
A tough show to get through the 1st 2 seasons and I took a big break in S3
But The Umbrella Academy really comes good with a Karaoke night as the Universe endsâŚ
Itâs a clever show
Hearing some positive rumours about The Expanse. Apparently Amazon have two years to pick up the show. After that other firms are free to bid and there has already been interest from Warner.
So finally caught the last episode of She-Hulk. Iâve already said that I liked the tone of the show. I love that the incel wankers hate it as well.
People are either going to love or hate the ending. I loved it and was surprised by it, especially the bit that reminded me of Gremlins 2: The New Batch. Thinking on it, no-one can say it wasnât set up.
