I like Moonhaven.
The overall story is classic non spaceship SciFi.
Earth is dying, AI terraforms part of the Moon & seeks a solution supported by Mooners
The cinematography and world building is excellent.
The actors are good, the quirky dialect is perfect to retain the sense of difference between the Earthers & Mooners.
The annoyance is that the story unveils slowly. I understand why but can see how it would deter viewers.
For me it’s pace is like Raised by Wolves & Foundation, and so typical of SciFi Fantasy no idea if it was from a book but it would no doubt be a trilogy.
I’m up to Ep4 and it’s a good distraction between my nightly Only Murders in the Building pleasure.

You could have mentioned Yan Valery was in Ep1 of The Sandman as Alex’s boyfriend
No wonder he was “somewhere else” Saturday
Finished Moonhaven S1
S2 is confirmed.
And I can’t wait.
Very different and superbly acted especially Paul the “Detective”
Hopefully enough bandwidth for Sandman tomorrow
If only a poster on here had been going on about how good S3 of The Orville was…
Perils of the crap or brilliant two-tone scale, sir.
Granted, I moan about a lot of shit, but if I say something is not shit, it is not shit.
Jenna Coleman
Fuck Ep 5 of Sandman is bleak/grim
Yeah I know, advancing the story but jeez
I simply have run out of superlatives, for how fvckin brilliant For All Mankind is.
You have the links.
Watch it
I am…still on Series 2. Someone’s just shot a Cosmonaut.
The Apocalypse Now style Ride of the Valkeries is one epic TV moment!
Well that’s annoying
I gave up on Westworld in S3
S4 is a timeline mess.
But finally the story moves forward.
It is a step above not shit
Dear constant reader.
Westworld S4 has now received a WORTH WATHCING review from Polski Filip.
This is a whole level above “It’s not shit” but nowhere near For All Mankind, The Orville or Strange New Worlds level of WATCH THIS YOU IDIOTS.
Annoyingly, it means I now have to revisit the previously turgid S3 that I gave up on after 3 episodes (Note: 3 Episodes was enough to be able to watch S4)

Oh.
I know some of you followed y reviews and jumped on Love Death & Robots.
It’s been renewed for another season

Watched the first episode of House of the Dragon last night, the Game of Thrones spin-off which centres on the Targaryen civil war. The source material for this one is finished, but it comprises of around four chapters in Fire and Blood, a history book about the family.
It’s safe to say that the writers have to paint a lot of things in, which is sort of the opposite with early seasons of Game of Thrones. George RR Martin thinks that the show could have rune for years if they’d bothered adapting the material properly. I don’t disagree, but he still hasn’t finished the books.
It looks promising. Matt Smith is so good as Damon Targaryen that I forget he is the Doctor. Some nice violence as well and some horrible choices to be made. It’s a big setup episode, obviously, but I think it does a decent job of showing us our main players.
I also watched the first episode of She-Hulk, Attorney at Law. The cards on the Internet are already referring to it as Better Call She-Hulk.
It’s a good first episode which is mostly the origin sotry in flashback. There’s fourth wall breaking stuff from the start, which will either delight or annoy you. There is also an extended cameo by the Hulk from the MCU movies. They’re cousins, you see.
It’s light-hearted fayre but so far, I quite like it.
Needs to be on the woke thread, right?
