Yay I called it⌠but did not put any money on it, of course
Was that 37th game out of 38 a step too far?
Youâd think they might have spotted a problem before then - or left it until the end of the season and let the dust settle.
Unless of course their man is already on a planeâŚ
I think it was the mooted fansâ protest at the final game of the season and the awards night that made them cut him tout de bloody suite.
Sounds like the fans are making the decisions for them.
Nah the fans just sped up the process!
TBH he was dead manager walking but the directors probably didnât want their prawn souffle and expensive cognac ruined at the awards night!!
I suppose at least they can get their replacement in early before other jobs become available. He started well but Everton havent been at the races this season after a bright start.
Not to be deterred by the reality of Poch signing a new contract, Iâm submitting a second Fergie/Poch theory.
The old Koeman to Everton thing is starting to rumble on now. No fucking worries. I believe what Ralph said about the relationship with Koeman.
âWe are philosophically exchanging continually. We are speaking and we are in a good place right now. Letâs just let that evolve. He still has more than a year on his contract so itâs not a point of pressure that we want to be unhealthy."
Jeez, if anyone offers Ron a schmoke and a pancake up at Goodison, we could be in trouble
At least RK will know what that means.
Hmmm Dutch pancakes and chocolate sauce
I donât see Liverpool as a chips and mayo sort of city.
Itâll be fine.
Iâve seen a fair bit of club comparison nonsense on the Interwebs this morning, particularly among Saints fans claiming itâs a backward move. It is and it isnât. Thereâs no doubt that Saints have got the better squad. We could have European competition next year, which Everton definitely wonât. âWhy would he go?â, people ask.
On the plus side of the balance ledger, Everton have got a more decorated history, bigger ground and happen to be situated in Liverpool, a big city with plenty of amenities and a football mad population. People that donât like football here are weird, whereas itâs quite common to find Southampton people that arenât that arsed, or if they are, support another team. Itâs a city with a lot of passion for the game.
I personally donât think heâll go and that heâll see out the contract he has at least, but no-one in the footballing world is going to say âdid ye see that meff Koeman go to Everton?â because it will be seen as a respectable move, the latest attempt to get fresh blood pumping through the veins of a respected elder statesman, not Willard boating down the river to meet Colonel Kurtz.
if koeman has gd season next year he will be on radar of European Giants imo he will stick with SFC for now
Quiche at Watford has gone
A bit like Adkins done a job and the owners dont think he is up to carrying out the next phase.
Liverpool is more a Cinquo de Mayo sort of city with the fervent Workers will rule the world attitude.
I genuinely donât think that Ronald will leave us for a while yet. I believe that he will sign a two year contract extention in the summer, effectively giving him another three years here.
I know I like to joke about the âphilosophically exchanging continuallyâ mouthwash from Ralph, but only because I have a pet hate for people talking corporate bollocksy jargon, rather than simply answering a question openly.
I feel that we can see from Ronaldâs reactions, his facial expressions, and the pride he speaks with about âhisâ team that he has built here â that he is really enjoying his time on the south coast.
I do not doubt that heâll go on to become one of the top managers in the game, and will eventually move on to a Club befitting his legendary status in the game, such as his beloved Barcelona â but for now, I think he understands that he has a good thing thing going on here, with much potential to progress.
Yes, Everton is technically a historically âbiggerâ Club than Southampton, but right now, the Everton job would be a backwards move for our Ron.
Cue the announcements that Koeman has just agreed to become Everton Manager in the summer.
Itâs gravy and chips, ya meff.
(Mayo is available)
Completely nuts decision. A seriously good manager and one of the coolest people around. They were solid and got to a semi final but those owners are after a 7th manager in 4 years. Sean Dyche wasnât good enough for them, how is he doing?

Quoted for truth, as I cannot âlikeâ it twice.
Quique Sanchez Flores is a top bloke, progressive tactical manager, and a great character in the game. He was a blessing to the Premier League. Watfordâs loss. Fucking muppets.
