❓ 👑 The Re-Markle-ble Interview

What about the rest of us?

BBC running the PM gone line.
But not his other mouthpiece the fail.

Interesting angle on “Palace replies”

They may be forced into a more conciliatory tone as fears grow The Meg could release the name out of frustration

Check the brakes each morning guys

Do you know any women?
I am sure people would describe me as a strong independent woman. But you know I cry on occasions, when I’ve been bullied and sexually harassed at work for instance. Or when I’ve had a shit day at work and someone said something unkind or unthinking. Or when we are a bit hormonal and go and collect a dress from a local shop who wont let you have it because the name you use isn’t the same as your passport but is nearly the same as your actual name. A very small thing but upsets you.
We aren’t all stiff upper lip Brits these days.
We all have different layers to us and we do not actually know these people so making sweeping statements isn’t helpful.
People have mental health difficulties, they don’t always show blatantly.

Look the only reason I find it so easy to contribute is because I type like fierce lion *

* With finger dexterity that would suggest small human.

One of the few “joys” of Baz was his parody of Little Englanders. How the whole world should fit “his” view of perfection/standards.
Having travelled I’d learned that is not possible. It made me a cynical realist I guess.

Anyway, today has been quite something, watching without an opinion from afar as basically, the UK disintegrates. (That may be a harsh word but certainly tears itself apart)

From my 60 something friends “being tired of it all” to the rabid Royalists to the woke youngsters.
And then to normal people, Carl Anka just quietly implying this is how life is.

The Singaporean friend of my Black BFF getting abuse because she commented that racism is real. To that moron Morgan it is so SAD.

The Palace have done well, a careful yet feisty reply, but why let it get to this point? Were they Institutionally ignorant or is The Meg the Scarlett Witch.

What a mess the stigma of Racism will stick for a long time globally. And, that is what is being talked about outside the world of perfection Baz believed in.

Meanwhile, it’s s just like watching a seed up series of Dallas. What will tomorrow’s episode bring?

Yes. I am married to one. But thanks for the heads up. I probably didn’t make my point very well, but making an issue over who made who cry seemed to be a bit childish.

Ouch.
That is so unwoke

I think you’re overplaying this, Phil. It makes for good theatre but nobody really gives a fuck.

Not on here but by crikey my FB & Twitter feeds disagree

Facebook and twitter are just the prejudices of the masses, magnified a thousandfold and treated as important by people who should know better. Ignore them.

Indeed, but it was Mrs SOG who originally made the comment. I am no expert in these matters but I don’t believe that the Palace correct or comment on every bit of tittle tattle that the media spouts about the Royals. I don’t think that Crygate was a big issue at the time, just a side rumour that was going around with all the other negative press that MM was getting. Again, I am no expert but the way to put the record straight it seems is to plant “a source close to the Princess said it was the other way round and Meghan was the one in tears”. The first we heard of it was via the OW interview though? Perhaps she was saving it up? Who knows? But Team Meghan and certainly Harry will know how to go about planting stories in the media via friends.

Again Little Engkander filter
For people (and families) who live overseas it is the only way of staying in close contact with friends & acquaintances.
Just going back to Golf Stories I have about 40 people I shared amazing moments with who are firm friends in US, Vietnam, Philippines, Aus, SA & UK.
It is the only way to stay in touch, especially now I cant take up offers of staying over.
Seeing family members of those who are non-Caucasian getting shit from little Englanders for expressing support for The Meg on her concerns about institutional racism is horrific.

Agree.
I am not taking sides with The Meg. My position is more “corporate” in "why did they get to this point.
The Palace could have “had a word” but nothing stopped the tabloids feeding frenzy

That’s what they should be for, and that’s all they should be for. They aren’t suitable for use as political platforms, and shouldn’t be viewed as such or extended any credibility when presented as if they were.

Which is why I use it
Just block people & friend requests you have never met.

Meanwhile, you will need a translate but this is the shit that is being written/blogged

I know, it is irrelevant to Little Englanders.
But not if you love your Country.

But it’s all the other shit that invariably filters through that is the problem with it. One of the reasons I closed my account way back.

I’m not bothered at all if some writer in Poland wants to make a string of baseless, lazy assumptions and present them as facts in a Polish publication. He can say whatever he likes. But it’s a bit rich for a Pole to assert that Britain is anti immigration given the huge influx here of Poles, you’ve only got to walk down Shirley High Street to see it. If we’re so racist and xenophobic why do so many of his countrymen emigrate here?

It’s probably irrelevant to most Polish people. What’s with the “Little Englanders”? Not sure who you are aiming that at tbh.

A great example would have been my Mum.
Set in her ways is the polite term.
Another could be Gammons.

Not “the English” in general but a sub set. In the states you’d label them MAGA’s I have a 60+ year old mate there - posts repetitive Biden is a sex offender memes.

Equally, I specifically didn’t condone that article, I was simply pointing it out as an example (extreme) of the international narrative. None of it is a good look.
