Are all these problems a result of there just being too many of them?
Perhaps if none of them were called either Prince this, or viscount that, or princess something, or duke of somewhere, and they just got on with as normal a life as possible, then we wouldn’t have had all the problems with the RF.
Perhaps a solution is to kick the lot out, and none of them has any title or duty, except the children of the reigning monarch, who would then be solely responsible for giving the horrible little trouts any money they needed/deserved.
They’re all the same tbf - at least you can vote out politicians
True but you would only get another power mad sod in exchange
Isn’t one enough
But at least they have to start from scratch each time?
Just as the bloody “story” started to slip down the news feeds…
It’s getting tiresome now.
They did this after the incident so not sure it’s about keeping it in the news.
But it’s just wall to wall coverage isn’t it. Just not my bag. Irritates the hell out of me - but I do that to other people too
Right, off to make a dent into the wine & beer mountain
Didn’t know that
That rather presumes you want a monarch. I don’t know too many people that actually want a monarch. We’re just stuck with and used to one.
I think it’s fair to say the Queen stays out of public political discourse. That is not the same thing as staying out of politics, as the recent report on the number of times royal prerogative has been used over the decades shows.
It’s an interesting debate.
Poland has a Prime Minister, a President & a Dynasty.
Trust me, a Monarchy is better than the comedy here
But is the comedy here better than a monarchy?
The comedy there is 32 years old at most, @Polski_Filip.
This state has been running a bit longer.
Apart from Kate laying flowers at the vigil for Sarah Everard, today’s front pages of the Express and Mail tell us about Princess Charlotte’s Mother’s Day card saying that papa (William)misses his mum. Now how did they find out about that card I wonder?
Looks like the Palace’s PR team have woken up.

50 Shades of No we still recognise that hair
I hadn’t paid much attention to this before but I have seen some articles lately claiming that Meghan Markle is a narcissist (the latest written by her step-sister). Having been married to one, engaged to another and worked with another for 22 years I have become something of an expert on their behaviour. She certainly is displaying signs. There are some people who have taken a deep dislike to her and whilst this has been put down to racism, I do wonder if it has more to do with this?
Whilst no fan of Piers Morgan, his behaviour, even by his standards, seemed extreme the other day. To call someone out as a liar on national tv, especially someone with such a high profile and playing the race and mental health cards, you need to be coming from somewhere other than a reactionary knee jerk position.
Harry is in the perfect position as the victim of a narcissist. He is wealthy, been described as the worlds most eligible bachelor before he married therefore a good catch, he wears his heart on his sleeve and has clearly been left traumatised by the death of his mother so is emotionally vulnerable.
Since “that” interview there has been a slow drip feed of information that seems to be putting the couple’s statement into a better context. There are picture doing the rounds of Meghan dressed exactly like Diana despite her claims that she hadn’t done any research into the royal family. The crying episode doesn’t seem as straightforward as she is saying. The whole thing about Harry and the bike has been shown to be nonsense. The couple appear to have been minted before their lucrative deals with media companies despite Harry’s claim that they had been cut off financially.
The whole thing seemed staged to present the couple as victims. No probing question from Oprah and she was clearly chosen as she would given them a massive platform and a soft ride.
For a couple that value their and their child’s privacy, they don’t appear to be desperate to quietly disappear into the background. When you look at Harry and them together at functions, he always seems to be dragged along in her wake.
We have had several years of experience of this with Trump and Johnson. Whilst I don’t doubt for one minute that Meghan has been victim of racism and misogyny in the media, it looks like she is cleverly using that to her advantage as the other to do. Narcissists are very good at charming people and forming strong support groups. When these people are no longer useful they are instantly dropped. All three have displayed this behaviour recently.
Is she has got a NPD, this will only play out one way for Harry. Badly.
Piers Morgan for you…
As I say, I am not a fan.
