I can remember Jocky Wilson standing at the oche, fag in mouth, pint of heavy on the table behind him, magnificent beer gut, and the late Sid Waddell describing him to the viewers in hushed tones as," a superb athlete at the peak of his game". I kid you not, absolute comedy gold.
