DamselflyâŚwhere are you?
River Medway at Wateringbury. Earlier river pic was the river Beult at Hunton(5ish miles away and most famous for the rail crash involving Dickens in 1865, although that was a couple of miles up stream). Iâve walked quite a bit today, but realised I may need a dog(or two).
Knowing youâve used a portaloo for (hopefully) the last time for a yearâŚ
The sound of a toilet flushingâŚ
Squeaky brakes on bikes, especially when they scare the shit out of dog walkers that arenât paying attention and let their dog wander all over the place still on their leads.
The cold fridge section in the supermarket - the only place I have felt half human for three days
The heat is daft
The boys are back in town âŚ
Interesting that the photographer has gone a bit OTT on Reed, Clasie, Hoedt and Gallagher ?!!?
Itâs a bit like getting a estate agent round - you need good marketing material
Chilworth Science Park is manicured to the n-th degree but no denying theyâve some beautiful trees. Thereâs a conservation area in the grounds of Chilworth Manor Hotel. I went scouting this afternoon. Expect more pictures in the coming days.
That lull on holiday between coming back from a day out and going out in the evening - everyone is getting showered and I am sat on my own nursing a g&t listening to the silence
Bliss
Catholicism & a younger wife

Getting a load of Saints stuff in the Mega Store to promote this wonderful team in the Philippines
Itâs been over 8 weeks since weâve seen any meaningful rain here.
The garden has continued to do stuff to the extent I may have to become Vegan now the freezer is already full!
Today we had to get water from the well in front of the house to try and save the cucumbers!
These are prickly skinned pickles for a Friday night
Vino is on the way and looking to be a bumper crop
A great Garlic crop
Getting the water the hard way. At least it has an electric pump.
And finally, tonightâs dinner. I could kill for a bacon sandwich tbh
My Bobâs are ready (love that name) - Broad Beans, and we had a delicious yellow bean and fresh new potato with fried egg marvel night before last.
May seem insignificant, but this is the 1st time Iâve eaten fresh from garden stuff (except cherry tomatoes) in 25 yearsâŚ
Arrriving At Manila airport get off the plane and immigration is empty, straight through no queries no interrogations for us like the wife had at Heathrow ten days ago, year long visas for both nippers and the normal 30 day stamp for me. Then staright through customs hand the declaration form over and proceed.
