😃 The Little Pleasures of Everyday Life

Took the ferry from Oban to South Uist once. Stunning scenery. The worst sea sickness I’ve ever head once we were out of the islands around us.

Some of the best views in world around there. Really gives a feel for the true power and grandeur of nature.
Took the daughter around the whole coast of Scotland and over to Coll(she was reading books that were set there) when she was younger. Talked about doing it again and even at 18 she’s right up for it👍

Getting a free lunch and cake at work. It’s incredibly rare these days but it was a celebration and thank you for all our hard work to get a Good Ofsted report.

Damascus Saint arrived in Krakow today. 3 days of work, 3 of partying/pickling.
Yeah he forgot half the shopping list he was supposed to bring but who cares.
A wander round the centre of Krakow next up and a Tyskie or 2

Ah, just remembered 2 magic wedding moments.

  1. Church. Ushers in Kilts walk down the aisle arm in arm with Bridesmaids… 3 pairs go past.
4th Bridesmaid is? A very proud, gushing gay, in Kilt, arm in arm with a jilted Usher. At a Catholic Wedding, in a Church of Scotland Kirk.
Whole congregation cracks up when he can’t keep the dampness going any longer
  2. The second hymn. Possibly the loudest I’ve ever sung (with everyone else) - Jerusalem.
The Priest steps up after and comments, possibly the 1st time that’s been sung at a Church, in Scotland.
    Yeah. Little Pleasures

Hello from Sofia. Nursing a king sized hangover after a visit to bars and a blues club which had a jam session on featuring a very good 8 y.o. drummer. Their trains are as daft as ours so took 31/2

Manouvering wife, bff, client & Damascus Saint into a Bier Halle for Ribs/Duck/Beers
And a front row seat to watch Polski v Austria without them noticing.
Hope Bednarek is playing
He is on the left of CB in a 4 man defence. Just made a solid but routine clearance showed good positioning then almost tore a strikers shirt off lucky no VAR

Using this as a match day thread :sunglasses:
Solid from Jan & Poland, no real scares.
Certainly look the better team prob higher possession, but final ball letting them down. Nothing to report on scouting front.
Meanwhile it’s like watching a game in a pub full of Bazza’s they are playing well, away from home against a well organised team. Locals look like they need Samaritans. Moaning like fook.
Ribs were overcooked and almost cold. The gang loved the Duck. I loved my beer.
Next stop THAT Vodka Bar
And maybe the pickled thread
Oops sorry 0-0 HT

I like your nail polish LITSL- Where do you get them done?

Seriously.
Our sea freight shipment arrived today. 1 broken IKEA frame so far, but have not seen our carpets yet (worried).
Means the Dubai Saints flag has landed in town AND I finally have a pint glass in the house.
And just in time

A local bloke does them…pretty robust, thin slivers of plastic driven under the nails. Specialises mostly in reds…predictably so.

Realising that you not only kept those furniture specific IKEA Allen keys from 5 years ago, they were actually in the box where you thought they should be.

Made the re-assembly job only last 5 hours instead of 5 days.
