Nice, but will you have any time for your Mayoral duties like opening fetes etc
I have a Deputy for that sort of thing. Just hope Charles doesn’t croak whilst I’m away. Missing one change of monarch could be considered unfortunate, but I doubt I’d get away with two
Mrs P_F brought me a supermarket Feta cheese salad.
Oh my days, what a thing of beauty after a week of wholesome Polish food
Broken home interweb router - can’t do any work online tomorrow - day off using excess hours worked this month
Friday off to have long weekend with Young Adults #’s 1 & 2 in Brighton
Kids slumming it at #2’s student digs while me and Mrs C_S have seafront hotel room with views.
Nice
Anniversary this weekend - finishing the 23rd year of the fatwa
Up to London tomorrow afternoon by car (train drivers are cunts) cheese and wine evening at 67 Pall Mall follow by lunch tomorrow at the Savoy Grill (sober for me because the train drivers are cunts)
Back to the ranch to broach a bottle of Dom ‘04 and then on to the reds
Double check the trains - We were looking at Young Adult#1 going down to Brighton and back by trains and they’re still running & I looked at SWR to see if they were and they seem to have a service Fri and Sat.
SWR said they would update Sat trains only tomorrow (Friday). So Friday running info now is correct, but Sat not until tomorrow.
A few pints in The Druid’s Head (old student pub back in the days) & Just had dinner in The Giggling Squid in The Lanes in Brighton - not a patch on the Esher one - but very good. (Was in the same building a few years back when it was another Thai brand and just as good)
Was curious about the Morning Glory, but didn’t like to ask
My grandfather owned a pub in Brighton in the 1930s. My dad grew up living over the shop. Turns out The Prince George is now the longest established veggie pub in Brighton. Website looks nice but I’ve never been.
Seem to recall you posted a pic of it. In the North Laines, right?
Morning glory is yummy. Water spinach but not like our shit spinach.
That’s what the girlfriend said
Yep, I didn’t think I’d posted here…big investigation on a Brighton FB group brought plenty of surprising results.
Cant find most of my summer gear.
Mrs P_F says its in the attic, ive spent hours up there.
So now im going to be alive to go to Ryder Cup i decide to start wirking out what i have, what fits (yeah right) and what i need to get.
So i spend 3 hours going through EVERY box.
Astonishingly i find everything except my Quicksilver Flip Flops. The statistical likelihood of that is a bowl of Petunias.
I come down, start trying stuff on ( most fits) and a Whale flies past the window.
Mrs P_F switches on the TV and its playing Happy Gilmour, in English, no voice over.
Off to buy a lottery ticket next
Got up first in the house this morning, as per.
I’m in the kitchen and I can hear this big cat call in the back garden. Both my cats are in at the time, so I have a look and it’s this large black and white cat, evidently in my yard calling for his mates.
Thought it was quite cute.
That was moggy for
“Come and have a go if you think you’re hard enough you pussies”
Invite to watch eldest grandson (8) playing for Shrewsbury U11 team. Out for a duck, then bowling has his first ball hit for 6. But came back with two wickets in the same over… Think he’s going to be a talent - already playing three years above his age-group.
And he’s also in the county U9 tennis team, is in the top three for his age for cross country and triathlon and is more than useful at football and Rugby. I get exhausted just thinking about it.
Oh. Forgot to mention: top of his year academically.
Proud grandad.
