So.
Had a physical withdrawal wobble at lunchtime.
Id had an early Bacon Sarnie, rain was forecast which made a walk unwise.
Our village is overlooked by a Limestone escarpment hence the local valley/gorge walk but on top of tge scarp after the village of Zelkow I’d driven past a rusty sign that seemed to point to a cave so off i went.
In typical Polish fashion having found tge cave it was " a big thing" but doesnt come up on google!
1st i found a small cave it was cool, some kids were doing some archaeological stuff.
600m up the road i found the cave
It was shut.
But its a lm deep with lights and walkways, a cafe and clearly its really cool

Hants CC - who have fixed the two sod off great pot holes in our road with a couple of weeks of notifying them - well done
Down side is they have bodged it so they will be back next winter, but at least I don’t need ropes and climbing irons to walk down the road this summer

I have unexpected news for esteemed forum members. Today marked the end of my term in the office of Mayor of Wem.
However, during my absence in Iceland circumstances arose in which the Mayor-elect withdrew for personal reasons and, in their wisdom, the Council have re-elected me for a second term.
You may therefore continue to show your usual deference (or lack of it,)

Washing away all memories of relegation by spending next season’s season ticket money on deposits for the next 4 holidays: motorhome in Devon, week in a remote cottage in the Lake District (no internet - you get a week’s peace), motorhome again for a month in Italy and Indonesia next year - Bali, Lombok and Jakarta. That’ll do.
