This came to my door today.
One of my group last week came across the Island to bring his home grown wine. How sweet of him.
Luckily it is drinkable as we leave Friday with only small carry on bags

A wonderful service for my father at Romsey crem and then a wake at Exbury club attended by some lovely people young and old.
That is painfully cute.
Pleasure #1: Three grandchildren for the week
Pleasure #2: The relief as they vanish down the drive.
Come on Sotonians lets ramp up the lighter side of SotonianâŚletâs kick the invaders back to where they belongâŚ
Itâs not all gloom and doomâŚwhat brings a smile to your faceâŚ
I have spent all morning doing a DIY job on the porch - bits were falling off!
The little pleasure - I had all the materials and tools available, and easily found.
Not one trip B&Q to get that only screwdriver you didnât have/couldnât find, didnât need any nails or screws - all available and, again, easily found. Even had the the wood required.
Forgot about this went to a garden centre in Otterbourne - the only one I have been in for decades which didnât have acres of junk, garden stuff you donât need or want, not even a coffee shop!
Because there was no shitty stuff to deal with, staff had time to talk to you, advise, and generally help; the nice young lady that served us even went and got us a trolly!
Actually came away with stuff I needed and wanted, and the prices were good as well.
In the Business class lounge at 5:15am with a vodka and coke.
Iâm a fan of the Sky Arts series, âLandscape Artist of The Yearâ and âPortrait Artist of The Yearâ
Theyâre both run in competitive episodes of 8 artist given 4 hours to create their interpretation of whatever/whoever is placed in front of them.
Last night I caught up with the final episode of 2021âs âPortrait Artist of The YearââŚthe winnerâs ÂŁ10k commission, to paint the Scottish classical violinist Nicola Benedetti.
The whole episode was a joy to watchâŚif you enjoy watching the creative process itâs still available on âCatch Upâ
An hour very well spent.
Mrs P_F has been spending time today chatting with the âUkrainian Officeâ âRefugeeâ who got out & came to the office yesterday.
Turns out she is married & her & Hubby used to live in Bompey.
And are MASSIVE Saints fans.
And used to go to Mikeâs Fish & Chip shop before matches.
Remarkable.
Beers incoming methinks!
Lidl have finally worked out Brexit.
Some beautiful breaded sliced ham today and PROPER thick cut smoked Back Bacon!
From Ireland.

All anti pigeon activities will now not be considered endangering harmless wildlife, so with a small amount of cat activity in the garden, it looks like I will not be âscoldedâ for having my super soaker and nerf gun locked and loaded for action not far from the back door.
Make my day, punks!
Good eating on a pigeon, and its organic. Just sayin.
