Back in the mid 80s I had a (great) boss who had been there about the same time.
Laid the cabling between Dxb & Shj
He is tales probably planted the seed to go myself some 8 years or so later.

Went to Gozo years back. Took most of the holiday before we found a decent restaurant. Very quiet in the evening as everyone seemed to get up for Mass at 4.30 a.m.
