😃 The Little Pleasures of Everyday Life

Makes a change for the cost of something to come down. Just reduced my EE bill by 2/3 and quadrupled data, with free EU roaming by threatening to leave.

Well over two years ago, in late 2019, I bought two tickets to see This is the Kit at the Albert Hall, with the concert due to take place in April 2020. Last night, after two postponements, we finally got to see them. And I have to say it was well worth the wait.

I booked to see NZ group ā€œThe Bethsā€ at The Loft in town…I get to see them two years later on the 27th. I will still be the oldest in the audience no doubt. :lou_lol:

See you there!
I can’t even remember when I bought tickets to see the Killers at St Marys. I think it was about 3 albums ago.

Well we could make it a Sotonians get together…me and @Goatboy have tickets already…there should still be tickets left, could meet up before the gig…

That did occur to me, but it’s sold out. There’s nothing to stop me having a drink with you anyway though.

I’ll phone up and tell them I need a ticket for my carer. :lou_lol:

I’m sure that there’s another place for this but as Bob is too busy at the free bar @ St Mary’s… he can check tomorrow where this should go :

Makes a nice distraction from Barry and t’Ukraine threads tbh - though the Chelski FC incursion into the conflict was unexpected…

Wow.
Lots gone on so far today.
1st up my Teaching locals to talk shit gig is moving forwards. Hopefully couple of days in each of last week March, 1st week of April. Gets me out the house!

Secondly gotta love/hate Ryanair.
Nailed down my 1st trip to visit 20 month old Grandson in Germany next weekend. Been a nightmare of Covid rules/unavailability/ex wife being there, but just booked Ryanair £45 with a 10kg checked bag to take/bring goodies!
Woo hoo!

Going in to the office in that there London and doing a 1-2-1 catch up with one of my team from way back in the day - in the pub - old school style and then meeting with a supplier we’ve know just as long and him paying for the beers.

A dirty maccies to stink out the train carriage on the way home and not having to get up early to go back up to town and the office

Nice :+1:

Getting to Cheltenham by 11am and drinking Guinness for the first time since 2 years ago in the same bar. Winners? Probably not, but Journey with Me in the first.

Pretty much all of my team in our Cheltenham office have taken most of the week to go to the races.

You should have a ā€œI was the original plague ratā€ badge

Never caught it myself. Still no winners.
