Covid sought of got in the way
Level 3 takes a week of classroom time and £850, so haven’t quite got round to it

After a gap of some time (probably because of Xmas etc) Mrs TB has made three and a half pounds of Seville orange marmalade, and as a superb bonus about 6 pounds of lemon and lime marmalade - the flavour of which is sublime.
Already started eating both, and spirited the rest in the back of the garage where I put her home made stuff which I don’t want given away!
People that take gifted home made jams and pickles from here are not friends and family, they are (in my eyes) thieves.

Joy! Went for a short walk at Deerleap this morning (even though the road is closed, you can get to it from the other end where the road comes out at the Bold Forester).
Afterwards we went to Longdown farm shop, mainly t see if we could.
Found the two following things which as a boy were prerequisites of life:
- Lardy cake
- Bread and butter pudding.
Also bought a cherry pie, but only because I like cherries - it has no other connection to a mis-spent youth.

1st stop when I get back. Reeves the Bakers their Lardy is perfection.
Had a late flight one trip had time to treat the family here. They get real annoyed now if I dont bring some home.

The pudding (second course for the thickoes) on Burns night.
Pancake cake!
Made of 20 dinner plate size pancakes, interspersed with confectioners cream (custard like stuff for the thickoes).
You can get the recipe off the web, and it is strongly recommended, if you can persuade your wife/partner/carer (mine is all three!) to spend the time making it.
There is also a spin off - in the cooking/making process there are spare pancakes and left over cream that have to b disposed of!
