The Decs came out of the loft with a fair amount of grumbling, but then I spotted an opportunity. Our neighbour was outside putting his lights up.
I enthusiastically announced that I would do ours first and scuttled outside armed with our lights and a couple of beers - safety in numbers or so I thought
Anyway the Ayatollah smelt a rather large rat - 30yrs of wilful resistance and all of a sudden I’m as keen as mustard.

This weekend seems to be the day all the neighbours put up their outside lights.
As I’m the only one in the C_S household who can apparently climb a ladder outside in the cold I get the joy of doing ours - subject to me refusing to do them until after my birthday (10th).
So I’ll be hungover up a ladder early doors on the 11th then 
I have discovered a compelling reason to wear a mask all the time outdoors.

I entertained (and apparently satisfied) 4 Ladies from Scotland today with a mountain & Thermal Baths Trip.
On the way home they passed round the Werthers. First one I’ve had for more than 20 years, yum yum yum.
Obv being Scottish that was also my tip. (But they promised to write a nice review on Tripadvisor so that is worth much more.
