I was in Prague one year at around the time of the white truffle season - got taken to the local Michelin star restaurant (Allegro?)
5 course tasting menu - truffle of everything- a whole ritual of grating- brilliant and 400 euro a head (food only)
I would almost say it was worth it

I did this one year, four nights in Perugia.
Fascinating weekend, marred only by the altitude sickness I went down with on arrival and barely got over during the trip.
The eldest nipper has just got a new job and will be based in Bangkok. Starts beginning of the new year. I dont get off my little vessel until Jan 15th and Philippines is likely to be still closed but I can get into Thailand to visit him.

Well, I did not win the lottery last week so there is still no hope.
But then if the training gig runs for more than a month. Hmmmm. IF they are serving alcohol by then that is.
