😃 The Little Pleasures of Everyday Life

Here’s a good one - young adult 2 and his wife have at last got another springer after their last one died 4 years ago.
As closest relatives, we are top of the list for dog sitting; he’s coming to stay the day tomorrow, so we’ll have all the fun of having a dog without all the heartache and bills! He’s only 12 weeks old, very well behaved, and great fun.

A twelve-week-old springer will keep you fully occupied, and in the most delightful way - until he zonks out. But he’ll be awake and ready for more soon enough! Just make sure you post a pic or two…

Oh dear, you might want to revisit that comment afterwards.

Hide anything you don’t want chewed.

Cue picture of our little monster at 12 weeks…

Being ancient, I had to renew my driving licence this year.
Expecting problems, I got ahead of the game by applying online in August (licence runs out early October).
New licence actually arrived today, so actually took 2 months.
For any other ancient types, don’t worry, renew on line, and whilst you have to return your licence to dvla, you are allowed to drive until they send you the new licence.

i did mine online when in UK took a week for new licence to arrive after completing the paper work.
The new passport took about 8 weeks to arrive’

Ditto on the being ancient, I renewed online in the summer as it runs out in November. Took about 10 days to arrive, not a problem.

I’ve got my renewal notice today. I do voluntary minibus driving, but the hassle of needing a medical and eye test if I want to keep up my C1/D1 licence is making me wonder whether to bother. A straightforward renewal of the basic licence is so much easier.

Taking advantage of free delivery, £10 off first order and using a £10 off voucher code (courtesy of YoungAdult#1) for using Deliveroo as part of Amazon Prime membership.

Ordered food from the Giggling Squid in Esher and got a fuckton of fantastic Thai food for just over Ā£30. Also had part of someone else’s food delivery - Got in touch and we’re told to keep it as it couldn’t be resold (or picked up).

Checking the price of the additional stuff it would cost c£60.

Bonus.

Am a tad full.

Loads left to snack on :+1:

That D1 is really handy.
It’s how I get to go on holiday with tourists most weeks & I never even knew it was included back in the day!
