Decanting 2 litres of now mature Sloe Gin. Tasting session this evening.
Any suggestions on mixers?
More Gin.
HTH.
Now if you have so older vintages you could mix it up, like the Sherry solera system
Unfortunately this our first vintage so weâre looking for a variety of ways to get pissed this Christmas.
As much as this is not what you want to hear - it is best bottled and then forgotten about for six month
Some of it will beâŚitâs had 4 months so far and weâve just added a just little sugar syrupâŚtastes quite nice already.
If the sloe gin itself is pretty sharp, then Iâd recommend a good lemonade as a mixer. If itâs sweet, drink it neat.
Our inbox was so low today I was able to go and do some training and CPD stuff this afternoon. Still work but a real pleasure to not be that little hamster on a wheel through all the work. Weirdly the referral rate has gone down again.
The smell of freshly baked Christmas Cake cooling in the kitchen.
Ahhh
Time for some Cherries
Drive to collect Mrs P_F from work & get cooking Brandy.
Get back in car. Dead as a Dodo.
Fvck. Flat battery. Likely as so little kms this week.
Opens bonnet. Randomly wobble some cables. Interior light comes on.
Car starts.
1st time EVER. I have fixed a broken down car!
(Loose battery terminal connection)
Go me!
Youâre now going to be the go to person in the village whenever someone has car troublesâŚ
Well that wonât last long unless the entire village has cars with loose battery terminals.
Old guys with beards can still Rock n Roll.
Congratulations to Bill Bailey for winning Strictly
Epic
I think Bill must have looked to many people like another in the line of older chaps who have no chance of getting far in the competition (see also John Sargeant, Ed Balls, Vince Cable etc.). I have to admit I expected much the same.
How wrong could I be? Bill was just brilliant. Yes, I know that the final is decided on the public votes alone, not the verdicts of the judges, but nonetheless he was superb. Watching him trip across the floor this evening, youâd have never known he was a 55-year-old whoâd never danced before.
Magnificent.
It was a succession of magic moments
Managing to put an FPL team together for the weekend with only one transfer needed.
Russian Champagne.
ÂŁ1.20 for the last bottle in the Petrol Station.
You can just about squeeze 16 toasting glasses out of 1 bottle for the Birthday toast
And NOBODY wants a second glass.
Phew
Eldest Bro in Law just been found in garden asleep holding up the gate post
Think this is going quite well.
The pleasure? Choosing a bad Valdepenas over Vodka and still being on 1st glass.
Phew
