L5 disk is fucked - bloody surgeon diagnosed me in 30 seconds and then spent 29 minutes chewing the fat to justify the £240 bill coming my way (well the PMIs way)
Now waiting on an MRI to confirm what we already know
His advice?? wait for 8 weeks and let mother nature sort it out - WTAF??? I am literally dying in agony. 8 fucking more weeks of this? Well, you could rub your back / arse with voltorol.
The Ayatollah is fuming - she insisted on coming along because she thought I would spin her a āI canāt doing anything for monthsā yarn if I went alone - her face was a picture when I asked if I should be doing things like putting out the bins and he said categorically not.
I also asked if it was OK to fly, he said by all means but donāt be picking up the cases - cue more teeth gnashing from the Ayatollah.
I had a herniated L1 or 2 back in the days when I was younger and more nubile.
Was with the NHS and the bones said I had to wait 2 months before I could even get referred for physio, luckily my work at the time had BUPA so I got good old Doc to refer me.
Within a week I was diagnosed and given some exercises to do which helped it no end.
Donāt think mine could have been as bad as yours though.
You want to see the amount of people that get injured whilst using the gym offshore. I only go in there when I have to remove a piece of equipment because they have broken it. When they ask me to fix it I refuse as if somebody injures themselves after it has been repaired we will be in the shit.
Anyone had Pregabalin? The quack prescribed it. I am not keen. First thing I read was that is can cause dependency and I am likely to on this stuff for several months
Like all medicines, pregabalin can cause side effects although not everyone gets them.
Common side effects
These common side effects may happen in more than 1 in 100 people. They are usually mild and go away by themselves.
Keep taking the medicine but tell your doctor if these side effects bother you or do not go away:
headaches
feeling sleepy, tired or dizzy
diarrhoea
mood changes
feeling sick
swollen hands, arms, legs and feet
blurred vision
difficulties with getting an erection
weight gain ā because pregabalin can make you feel hungry
memory problems
If you have diabetes, pregabalin can upset your blood sugar control. Monitor your blood sugar more often for the first few weeks of treatment with pregabalin and adjust your diabetes treatment if you need to. Talk to your doctor or diabetes nurse if you want more advice on what to do.
Serious side effects
Very few people taking pregabalin have serious problems.
Call a doctor or call 111 straight away if you get:
thoughts of harming or killing yourself ā a small number of people taking pregabalin have had suicidal thoughts, sometimes after only a week of treatment
severe dizziness or you pass out
hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that are not real)
problems going to the toilet, including blood in your pee, needing to pee more often, or constipation
Serious allergic reaction
In rare cases, itās possible to have a serious allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) to pregabalin.
Not just you Brits, but everyone is getting screwed flying on āholidayā to the Greek Islands.
Nobody can cancel, families here interviewed at the airport and by video from the carnage. Sure SOME package holiday firms have stopped but most people these days use LCCās & AirBnB or Booking.com.
Sheer fucking greed for their Insurance Broking mates as usual
Part of the issue is that a good chunk of Rhodes is perfectly fine, however some people donāt want to go - full stop
Fair enough if you were going to stay in the south east - thereās nothing left but if you are in and Around Rhodes town, you will have a perfectly good holiday
Iāve noticed a creeping Cloud pressure of late.
Windowslive - One Drive is now 5Gb and of course Windows keeps syncing away even though I turned everything off and then teling me to pay for more storage - duh no.
And I got a flag from Google Photos that said I had used like 75% of my free storage.
Having no budget atm for subscriptions a busy day has been spent editing and deleting a LOT of auto syncād photos
