The key part of the story is that the UK doesnāt have the storage so we export it to Germany and the Netherlands and then we reimport it when we need it
The cost of storage is obviously added on, although there would be a cost of storage here as well
We donāt have the storage because the Government decided to close down the Thistle Field storage and buy on the open market. Not a good decision.

Took over an hour to get home on a 30 minute journey, and had to suffer passing through 32 sets of traffic lights getting to the other side of Southampton!
When I was a young man we used to have competitions travelling from one side of Southampton to the other without being stopped at traffic lights. There are now twice as many, and itās no longer any fun.
