😠 The Little Annoyances Of Everyday Life (Part 1)

This is true.

Though these days I’m finding it harder to slip a cheeky ā€œscreaming orgasmā€ past you (ooh errr missus…)

In Sandpit. Doorbell rings. I answer.
ā€œOh hi, you must be Phil. Is Andy in?ā€ (My youngest)
Yeah sure, and you are?
ā€œTony, I hear you have a big day with Tiger today, tell him I said Hiā€
Me ???
Son " Dad, this is Tony, Tony Hawkes, we’re going round town, skateboarding"
Oh, cool you want a coffee? Was all I managed

No wonder he’s using a walking stick. Must have been murder getting all the way round Ireland with that fridge.

ā€œGarden Centresā€.
Was at one today (for a specific non-gardening reason), and was horrified by the endless accumulation of utter shite with a vague connection to the outside.
Better description would be ā€œcountry warehouse of a collection of utter shite and crap that you don’t ever want to buy, and you can also buy two cups of coffee and two unpleasant alleged cakes for Ā£11.50, and we have a small plant department!ā€.

A bit of a problem getting this to fit on the signs though.

Only redeeming features - access for disabled was first class, and the ā€œcafeā€ had a dog friendly area. Probably so there was something to eat the horrible cakes.

Luckily, my next trip to one of these places is my favourite nursery at Otterbourne that just sells plants, and the occasional ball of twine.

3 more 8 hour days of me talking shit to go on the training course.

Trying to figure what to leave out as it took 2 days to reach where all other non English speakers get to in 1 day

McVegetablething.

Got one on way home (& got a proper 1/4 pounder with cheese just in case).

Vegetable thing was actually ok. Ate most of it. Didn’t finish the meat product.

Fucking Putin - that is a bottle of Chateau Palmer every month and not a hangover in sight

To be fair they really bought into Paradigm Shift.

Watching the lights come on as they realised the world changed was ā€œrewardingā€, then their faces as they actually listed things that aren’t the same as a few weeks ago.

Was much more effective than who moved my cheese.

The car has about an inch of snow on it.
It’s the law here to clear it before driving.
I put my foot in the car to depress the clutch to start the engine to get demist going.

I didn’t notice the wiper switch was on.
Engine starts 1m2 of snow dumps in my lap & on my seat.

Oh how Mrs P_F laughed
And the kids & the neighbour.
Retaliation was brutal I swept a brush full of snow into her lap in the passenger seat.
I now have a wet car & sub zero temperatures

Derivative, chain store Mexican street food, really piss poor service ( your average food may (& did) come out at different times because it’s made fresh - ffs!) and shite beer.

Have in recent months been to ā€œrestaurantsā€ on Southbank and tonight in Cardiff - both poor experience.

Avoid.

Most casual dining chains are struggling from a lack of cheap staff - since the unlimited bounty of Eastern European Labour dried up, they have to pay a decent wage which is fucking their business model

Case Brazil - just avoid

Shit meat
Shit service
Shit drinks

True. Still a half decent menu would go a long way to helping. Mind you the two places I’ve visited recently were rammed so they must be doing something right.

It’s spring.
It’s been snowing
And on top of that our pre me going away for work Sunday afternoon romp has been cancelled.
Due to a family of Storks deciding to fly over the house just now…

(Evil Filip - do I tell the brother in law?)

I thought I would have a look at some energy deals

I currently pay 353 /m up from 270 in the last month

A 12 m fix price deal - 784/m, over 9k a year :flushed:
