Some people pay good money for that - so I’ve been told….

Good news. All sorted in A&E in only 90 minutes, presumably thanks to Mrs S’s authority in all matters. Bad news. There is indeed a broken bone. My fate is sealed. :frowning::frowning::frowning:

You could try pointing out I continued working with a broken bone in my foot, standing for around 8hrs each day? Of course I didn’t actually know I had broken a bone, don’t like doctors so decided it was just a sprain and ignored the pain. Found out the truth many weeks later when I finally gave in and went, seems it didn’t heal neatly

To be fair, and joking apart, the real problem is stopping her being active and making her follow advice to rest for 1-2 weeks.

I can also sympathise with your injury. I fell off my bike and hurt my knee but the initial diagnosis was general wear and tear (and being old). So I carried on despite it getting worse and worse. It was the season I went to Israel, Milan and Prague. Climbing up and down the San Siro was agony. I only survived with huge doses of ibuprofen and beer.

Finally had it checked again. MIR scan showed cracked patella, torn ligament and cartilage damage.

Took 2 years to recover.:frowning:

That fucking bridge at Totton is down to one lane again and will be for a month.

Went to get a flu jab at Boots

Book the appointment online - easy
Turn up 5 minutes before and check in - easy
25 minutes later - nothing except for a woman who also turns up for her jab, has it and leaves.
Go back to the desk - oh sorry you’ve been missed, I’ll get the pharmacist to seen you now
Another ten minutes of waiting and a lot of suspicious looking consternation behind the counter
I am smelling a big hairy rat
Pharmacist comes over - we have run out of vaccine
How can you run out - we have to book online days in advance - its not like its a surprise
Awkward silence
So you gave my shot to that woman who came in after me?
yes - we have some more coming if you can wait an hour?

Grrrrr

Might I suggest that their kids overhear Gangbang Cumpilation 4 at full volume? That’ll sort it. :+1::+1:

Wanted a real break from work this week so went through all my work apps - moved them all to a folder on a Home Screen far far away and turned off all notifications

It appears that Teams is not going without a fight. Yes it hasn’t popped up the new messages, however it had decided to send me a notification that I have notifications in Teams

Hi tec hire cars. The one at I had at the weekend wouldn’t let me get anywhere near Lane markings without beeping, flashing lights, and doing something with the steering that frightened the life out of me first time it happened.

I had a hire care that wouldn’t let you start the engine unless you had your foot on the clutch, the bloke who dropped it off didn’t tell me this.

Also wouldn’t let you move the car if you weren’t wearing a seatbelt, very annoying if you only wanted to move the car on the drive.

Yep! Had one of those before lockdowns, but I was told about clutch down to start.
Also, the one this last weekend did everything so much better than me, but didn’t automatically put the clock back! Serious stress when setting off back home at 3.00, when I thought we weren’t getting home until 7.30; when you put the clock right, 3 hours was about right!

Lol.
Mrs P_F just fell for the car clock gag.
Today is All Saints Day.
Big thing.
Visit Cemetery flowers & candles.
Village has a Mass at 2pm in Cemetery where Dad & Grandparents are. Were just going to do candles, but Mrs P_F says no we are staying for the service.
Me? I’m parked up 1km away while they have been waiting 30 mins and another 40 to go.
I have a book it’s cool. She will be steaming

Yep, had that. Sitting in a Menorca airport car park with the wife and mother in law waiting impatiently to be conveyed to their villa, so they could commence stuffing their fucking faces. :rage:
I actually discovered how to start it by accident, poxy thing.
