(On a more serious note, iāve begun sticking extra amounts into my pension ā¦ much better returns as well as then being able to claim back the tax relief. My pot has growth average of over 12 % pa over last 15 years despite a short dip during the early COVID news which saw 20% wiped off, but then regained in 3 months. Just keep enough back for ready access that you need)

Good news 1st. Local PC shop just fixed my ever expanding laptop battery I am now fully operational and it closes. Also when he took the old one out it caught fire - he had to call the fire brigade to deal with it!
Bad news. That lightning strike hit the Fibre Backbone cable. That cable is being replaced and by Spring next year the Copper to home terminations here will all have been replaced.
Due to itās age, it could either support our wonky Internet OR have surge protection, not both.
The lightning struck the cable. It blew through 3 villages. It blew ANYTHING connected to ir. One guy lost 2 PCās, a laptop, IPad, Stereo & 3 Smart TVās. Fridge Freezer & Washing machine have been fixed.
Local lawyers working on class action for damages.
I currently have actual WiFi but it wonāt last. Hopefully 4th August still the plan.

St James Place - best year was 18%, worst -3%, average over 15 years 11.7% or thereabouts on the funds I have. Pot effectively more than doubled without any contributions (had moved jobs and had work schemesā¦ now al transferred to the SJP, as Royal London were really shit and Hargreaves Landsdowne were only averaging around 6%ā¦
