😠 The Little Annoyances Of Everyday Life (Part 1)

What fees do they charge?

I know, let’s solve the problem by simply chucking more cash at it

Uni grads are earning a starting salary of $95k plus bonus in their first year (before this pay rise)

Yes the hours are brutal but the pay is more than most in the country can ever hope to achieve

They do have a choice here - these are super bright kids who could walk into any job in the world. No one grows up wanting to be an bank analyst - you do it for the cash and the prospect of earning millions as your career progresses. These poor wee lambs will be fucking over your pension fund in ten years time, so I struggle to feel bad for them

Take the cash and STFU or get off the pot and do something worthwhile with your life

Being summonsed for jury service. Cunts.

Very probably true, but IMHO the cycle needs to be broken and get rid of the arseholes who think it’s ok to expect their staff to work those ridiculous hours - regardless of how much the wee lambs get paid. If someone on minimum wage was forced to work those hours there’d be an outcry.

You have DM

If that’s your initial reaction, I don’t give much for the defendant’s chances. :flushed::smile::smile:

Not as sorry as the defendants when my old Gran got called up - she was firmly of the opinion that if they were in court, they were guilty

I’ve long harboured an intense dislike of Harriet Harman. But even I was appalled when I heard her interviewed on live radio while she was in the blair government (minister for women, I think,) she was talking about needing to raise the numbers of rape convictions coming from the courts. When asked by the interviewer about the burden of proof in rape cases and the difficulties of proving them, she baldly stated just what your gran did; if the authorities had seen fit to prosecute a man for rape then it followed that he must be guilty.

I had a fall this morning out in the wilds…a heavy one. Damaged me elbow and knee but worst of all broke the lens hood on me camera.
The dog thought it great fun and was all over me. :lou_eyes_to_sky:

Oh honey, is the lens cap repairable? I do hope Molly wasn’t too stressed out by it breaking either…

Dogs do seem to love it when people fall over, I’m convinced every you’ve been framed clip I’ve ever seen where someone falls over, a dog appears out of nowhere to jump all over them.

No it was terminal. I’ve just ordered a ā€œGenuine Sony ALC- SH152ā€ for 33 quid but I know when it arrives it will be cheap Chinese crap.

Well to reinforce your comment I was walking with someone even older than me and her three dogs. I had to fight off all four at a time when I was still trying to check that all my limbs were unbroken and still attached to the main part of my body.

Indeed they do. When I got home Lady Slowlane said, "You have muddy paw prints all over your back.

As part of the recuperation process I have found that dogs also like the taste of Germoline.

Got an invite to work for someone else. ā€œI hear you’re open to contract rolesā€. I am not open to contract roles.

ā€œThis is a greenfield project where one of the first objectives is to achieve parody with the existing systemā€ā€¦

Not a reader, I’m guessing.

Isn’t that what coders do these days - create a parody of the original spec?

Coders aren’t responsible for specs. That’s @WorzelScummage’s job. It’s why things are so bananas
