The key fob for our building stopped working about 4 days ago. I emailed the managing company about 2-3 weeks ago to say it was playing up. No reply. So there are about 20ish flats. It is a good job we only go out once a day as we are buzzing each other to be let in. One has a new baby so has asked not to be bothered. Someone decided to use the fire break for the door so it was left open for a day and half. Not ideal when people have been stealing packages from inside the building, tailgating, and smoking in the stairwell (in our clad building with no correct firebreaks). No real urgency from managing company to sort it. Cannot wait to never live in a flat with a managing company again.

Move ASAP :+1:

once the cladding is off we are outta here. It is quite a nice flat to be honest. It’s done us well for these years but time to move on. I will miss the under floor heating.

Kinky.

on very cold days when my feet are freezing I go stand on the hot spot in the utility cupboard. Living my best life.

I can put up with most discomforts, but I hate feeling cold. Really hate it.

7 hours in the car park in the mountains at -9C waiting for clients.
It’s all down to ignoring any sense of fashion & looking a twonk.
But a warm twonk

When I was ill about 5 or 6 years ago it didn’t matter how many layers of thermal clothing I wore, three pairs of thermal socks, vests, hats, you name it I was cocooned in it. Still ended up shaking with cold. Then again, I was down near 6 stone at that point.

Friday - recycling and glass. Fine.
After they had been, couldn’t find my glass box - disappeared! Had a special repair in one corner, so unique.
Sent a message to council on their special web site complaining about disappearing glass box, and asking for a replacement.
Answer comes back - “ replacement bins can take up to eight weeks”.
What, when you come here every week.
Cunts.

ANOTHER FCKING take my money for WHAT? Day.
FFS! It is less than a month since the last take my money for WHAT? day.
How many GIVE ME A BOTTLE OF SCOTCH days do WE get?
None, apart from some socks for Xmas and maybe a card on a birthday.
But oh no, you “forget” to go to the shop and buy flowers for EVERY female in the house you might as well just castrate yourself - it might be cleaner cut.

What Marketing MBA Intern comes up with this shit? What next? National Dyson Hoover Day?

FFS…

That new Coca-Coal advert, WTF is that all about?

Replacement for fossil fuels?

The key pad for our block hasn’t worked for a week. Fingers crossed for a fix tomorrow. Thankfully we are all working at home otherwise id would be a bit tricky.
Add to that someone drove into the car park barrier so that’s now broken and anyone can come park up in the car park. There is a permit system but we’ve had a range rover abandoned by a neighbour from the block next door for about 6 weeks. He’s parked really badly.
We’ve also received the estimate for the cladding and fire stopping stuff (i did put repairs - they’re not, they should never have been left out or put on the building). Not sure of a time frame. It is a bit more that we had expected but will have to be paid. Doubt we will get the loan.

Why’s that? Interested as have people in my London team jumping through hoops to sort their cladding. The extra funding seems to have made a difference to them - and their mental health.

Saw this and thought of the horror you are going through. How can this be allowed to happen (for you & them)
