My partner had a hospital appointment today. A hopefully last check up for something. He was quite excited about taking the car out and leaving our borough for our old neighbourhood. He goes down. Battery dead. A neighbour tried to jump start but they failed. Took 4 hours before a local garage came out to do so. They didnât charge him. So we need to take the car out a bit!

-10 thus morning. âMumâ is heading to Wroclaw to home school/babysit Niece for a month.
We get to lose our dishwasher 
Spent 10 mins getting snow/ice off car & warming it up. Put her bag in the boot.
Drove to the station.
Boot & rear doors frozen solid wonât open luckily I had greased the rubbers of the front ones expecting such issues but water from warming up had frozen in a layer of solid ice.
5 mins scrambling with reclining seats, got her bag out, got her on the train.

Exactly. I keep hearing snippets of the forthcoming broadcast of that interview on the telly box and want to throw the radio at the wall - donât even start me off, especially about the government ads for how they can help businesses export to developing markets from Tokyo to Toronto & every advertiser now sounding like chirpy northerners using 3 word slogans

She was used to being the centre of attention in the US and tried to be the same here - then someone pointed out that she was just the wife of the spare and told her to get back in her box (and a spare that was surplus to requirements now that there are three little Cambridgeâs)

Likewise, Iâm sick of hearing about them both. It seems to me that they want the best of both worlds, constantly moaning about how hard it was for them to be âworking royalsâ, so they had to flee to a mansion in California to escape. But still want to use the title of Duke and Duchess of Sussex, which impresses the Americans and ensures millions of dollars will keep rolling in for doing very little. They canât have it both ways, if they want to cut all ties with the Windsors and be treated as an ordinary family, then take away the titles, grant them their wish, and put paid to all the fairy stories. Mr and Mrs Hewitt has a nice ring to it!

Yes us titled people do enjoy the privileges that come with it but I like to think Lady Slowlane and myself still retain that âcommon touchââŚa bus pass to visit our folks on The Millbrook EstateâŚwouldnât risk the Tesla.
